SNN confirming Fellaini gave up £750,000 loyalty bonus NOT £4 million. United almost in meltdown!!! Didn't take long for Moyes and Woodward to work their 'magic' !

It is all a bit sad. The Baines has requested to leave stories came from which camp within the media/which club? And now loads of respected papers saying the £4m, £23.5m thing. Maybe Tubey is right that they're all just guessing and copying each other. Or maybe Man Utd are pushing this story with their contacts in their media. They were saying Lukaku was on his way to WBA on SSN when he was actually in Belgium. Guess I'll trust Myers' information. £26.5m plus £1m in add-ons is a good price. £5-6m for Anichebe means we banked at least £30m. And probably spent not a lot of it (I'm sure we still offered a structured payment to Wigan).

Most deals are 'structured' these days. Very few transfer fees are paid up front. I don't think that there is any 'respected' sports reporting in newspapers these days...the printed media is fighting a massive losing battle and very few will get sufficient online views to make them viable...they are all desperate and will print virtually anything.Sky picked up the Lukaku to West Brom story based on an assumption when Chelsea made the player available again, and West Brom made an offer which we outbid...so Sky reported events as such. I think 'on his way to West Brom' meant the loan deal, not the actual player, who was always in Belgium. Ozil signed for Arsenal in Germany ! If Myers is quoting "26.5 plus 1 million addons, I agree thats probably as close as we'll ever know. Fact is, Kenwright and Martinez have played a blinder here, and it would be difficult to prove otherwise, no matter how hard some with an agenda may try.
It makes you begin to wonder how hollow Moyes suggestion that he was in complete control at Everton really was.Martinez' influence at GP seems to be dragging us(willingly) into modern football business, and we have been positive in this window both in buying and selling. No quibbling over the odd million !! Long may it continue.

SSN just said 26.5 mill plus another million add ons and felli forego 750k loyalty bonus to get the deal done.

Utd paid more than the buy out end of.

Most important point of all the acceptance of limited ambition (no matter how many gobshte excuses) has been done away with.

It appears we have a manager in tune with supporters and not fecking accountants.

The "Everton is my team" quote was ace.

Always rooted for the lid, even when I thought he was proper tosh. I don't think I, or indeed any blues really realised how much of a genuine blue he was. Hope he runs it down there and leads the line for many years.

Wonder if Fellaini will snide Everton? Like MOYES has done, just watching the interview on Sly Sports now

Where all you Big Vic lovers been all i ever see is abuse for him on these forums, thick hes gone though going to wear my no.28 jersey for a week to mourn him

I can appreciate that Fellaini "had " to go and I thought he aquitted himself really well through this period.
Pity about Vick because I honestly feel he'd be more useful to us than Jelly but he had to make way because there is no way that someone would have taken Jelly of our hands with his current (lack of) form. He really does love the club and I really hope he does well for himself as I would any true Blue.
