Very rarely do you see a player so devastated to leave. Really good words from Vic there, almost sorry hes had to go because of that interview but ultimately he wasnt good enough for us and I hope he does well.

Shows you how much players love EFC once they have played for us. Go and find the interview Arteta done when he had just signed for Arsenal...the lad is virtually in tears.

This is brilliant from United, trying to spin things and getting caught again with their pants down. F*cking blerts. Surprisingly ace to see Everton have some balls and come out better from a business deal too, is right.

Moyes is learning fast at United but reckon it's doomed, impossible job after Ferguson anyway but will find it difficult to recover from the start he'd made with a very sizeable proportion of their fans hostile towards him and how he is. This is when he's got his charm offensive on in the honeymoon period too, just wait until he starts glaring at the press for asking questions he doesn't like.

Same as some of yourselves I'm sad to see Victor saying that too, nothing like one of our own. Wish the lid well.

Victor looks gutted in that interview- He did not look like a player who wanted to leave! I have a nasty feeling he will score more for WBA than Kone! I hope I am wrong !!!!!

Going to be really sad seeing Fellaini playing against us. He will definitely be one of them players I will always remember.
Good luck Marouane!

SNN confirming Fellaini gave up £750,000 loyalty bonus NOT £4 million. United almost in meltdown!!! Didn't take long for Moyes and Woodward to work their 'magic' !

Although Everton and the media stated the fee was £27.5m, it was in fact £23.5m, but we spun it as £27.5m because we saved £4m in fees to Fellaini because he handed in a transfer request.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...e-day-chaos-at-manchester-united-8797130.html

"By driving to Everton's training ground and lodging a transfer request on Monday evening, Fellaini sacrificed £4m in loyalty bonuses. That allowed Everton to agree to a £23.5m deal because the overall gain to them was £27.5m."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ave-Manchester-United-move-from-collapse.html

By submitting a transfer request shortly before 8pm, Fellaini ensured Everton would not be forced to pay the player £4 million in loyalty bonuses, enabling the two clubs to agree a deal worth £27.5 million to the selling club.

So we will receive £23.5m for Fellaini although the deal is worth £27.5m because we didn't have to pay £4m in a loyalty bonus.

Now confirmed loyalty bonus was £750,000 NOT £4 million. We will recieve £27.5 million. Good business by Everton, and no way anyone can make it appear that it wasn't, no matter how hard they try.

That Vic video broke my heart. Lets get him back.

seriously...go and find artetas when he signed for Arsenal!

We were happy to get £6M for vic and when you see the vid you cant help feel sympathy.

We loved Arteta and didnt want him to go...the video he done for Arsenals website is devastating

At the time, he basically said 'Everton have to sell someone to survive...Arsenal are interested...sell me.

I think Mikel was gutted tbh and for me, he was the big player of our side and a massive loss. I was giddy at the thought of getting £6m for vic.

You have to expect that a local kid whos been at EFC all his life might be more emotional. But im not having it that Arteta wasnt gutted also.

This £4M fellaini thing btw.

Reported as Everton get £27.5M but the spin theyre trying to put on it is it will only cost Utd £23.5 -

because fellaini agreed to be paid £4M less than over the length of his contract (already in place) to make the move happen.

So he cost Utd £27.5...we received £27.5 but Felli took a hit in wages to make it happen.

Guess they will do anything to try and spare uniteds blushes.

It has come out of the club, that the Selling Club will pay 27.5m for the player. its as cut and dried as that, nothing to do with wages, loyalty fees, nothing. UTD payed 27.5m for Fellaini.

I still remember Big Vic's first goal for us in Big Dunc's last match. Really thought he was going to be special, especially with his performances in Europe in the following seasons. That injury really affected him mentally though it would appear, hope it works out for Vic at WBA (Not against us mind...):
