FA Cup Final: Everton vs Chelsea

We're deffo going to win the cup. 1-0 in the 90 minutes. They'll have a disallowed goal and possibly batter us, then we will scramble one in and hold one, with a media backlash against negative tactics or something, but it won't matter.

Hi,

Fulham fan coming in peace! I've got a friend who works for Chelsea and a strange email from Roman Abramovich (or one of his people) went around the club today...

Apparently he detests the Russian folk song Kalinka (look it up on youtube) and has demanded that it not be used at Wembley or on any Chelsea TV broadcasts.

Just passing on the information, I'm sure you witty lot could come up with a good song to wind the man up.

Good luck in the final,

JG

Hell there is going to be one hell of a lot of kids called Hibbo.

Actually I think I may like to see Jacobsen start and castillo on the bench just in case but I agree keep Osman away. However I am sure Osman will get the nod from Moyes.

I'd like to see Rodwell start on the right instead of Osman but there's no way in hell that's happening. Also like to see Jacobsen, better than Hibbert.

I wouldn't like to see Rodwell on the right! I think his passing abilities would be completely wasted. Id love to see him start in the middle though. He is exactly what we are going to need against a very strong Chelsea midfield! Someone calm, cool and collected in the middle, who will play the easy ball when we are on the back foot (we inevitably are going to be for a lot of the game).

I would also start Cahill upfront with Fellaini playing behind him, as I think this will be the best way to get to the Chelsea defence! Obviously if this doesn't work for us, Saha, an impact player in my opinion, can come off the bench!

Id also like to see Hibbert start over Jacobsen if he is fit.

Alex Ferguson used Owen Hargreaves on the right in the Champions League final, mainly for his athleticism, pace and workrate and it seemed to give Man utd good balance and a different option against a very powerful side. I could see Rodwell doing a similar job for us.

Lets be honest, Osman struggles to get into games against lesser teams outwide. He’s not suited to the role and there’s no doubt Chelsea will bully him like most big, physical sides do. At least Rodwell can compete physically and against a midfield of Essien, Lampard and Ballack that’ll be needed.

I doubt Moyes will do it but it’s certainly what me and Sir Alex would do.b)

Bad idea. We need Cahill coming forward from the middle to make offensive plays.

I agree with you to be honest, and I did think about that. But we can't afford to have another half hearted game (United SF) from Saha. I think he does a better job coming off bench.

As I said, if it's not working, throw Saha on, put Cahill back a bit, and there we go.

However, I think the team Moyes will start is..

Howard, Hibbert, Yobo, Lescott, Baines, Osman, Neville, Cahill, Pienaar, Fellaini, Saha. (although id love to see Rodders get a start).

I hear that Chelsea have cancelled their FA Cup winning parade. They've stated that it would cost them £250k if they lost and had to cancel the open top bus etc.
I'm not suggesting that they are expecting to lose, they're so bloomin' arrogant that they've probably already got the cabinet polished, interesting though.

COYB(y)

Going to get my ticket today, woo hoo(y)

The FA Cup is small fry to Chelsea but with them losing out on the Champions League Final, they will be even more determined to lift the FA Cup. Like you said bluelass, they are an arrogant bunch but i really feel this is our year. This cup run reminds me of 1995 and the FA dreaming of a "Dream" Final" of Manchester United v Tottenham. Spurs then showed arrogance towards Everton by believing they was in the Final before they got their and we all know what happened to them. Chelsea will carry that same confident swagger, here is to a similar result hey! COYB!!
