This is going to be a real tricky one. It's hard to avoid the feeling that Rom and Ross will go. So we will have a monster budget to play with, but we had that last year and just couldn't spend the bloody money.
I think Koeman has done ok, best of the rest after the previous is not bad at all. He is overpaid, but we were in dire straits last year and needed a quick fix.
It's his record Though in the market that does concern me. If he'd had his way last year he'd have spent nearly a hundred million on Bolasie Kone and Sissoko. Which is madness our best hope is he's got his deals lined up and they come in early, cos if we end up flailing around again I think we will really struggle next year

He might be overpaid compared with you - or even me - but I think he has justified his salary this year.
I do share your concern over his transfer dealings - but you can offset those potential blunders against what look like two astute signings in Gana and Schneiderlin.

A major revamp is needed , but unfortunately this won't happen and top ten is the most we can hope for realisically

Top-6 is a must, and I think we should be pushing for a top-4 place all season. In Europe, besting our recent finishes there by making the quarters at least.

The only team in the top 6 I can see us overtaking is arsenal. The RS, city, United are going to spend big to try and narrow the sizeable gap that exists to Spurs and Chelsea. All those teams have a stronger base to their teams, but arsenal might lose their 'key player' Sanchez like we might lose rom. To crack the top 6 won't be easy.

I think it's too much of an assumption that we will do well this summer. I will hold fire and see what my beloved club has in store for me in the transfer window first.

If it's anything like the too many millions on Bolasie window, then I will kick Everton in the balls and agree with the @davek 8th/9th prediction and the struggle with extra games.

My biggest concern is attracting the right players rather then some on here giving it ' nothing has changed' cause we haven't spent £150m on crap. Just hope we do spend some serious dough but not buying total rubbish but the right players.

You can assume season is over. We will need to invest and big time in summer otherwise its another 7th place finish. If we lose lukaku and dont invest to replace 4/5 of the current first 11 we could be a mid table team. There is no doubt our squad is 7th place now and is not near good enough to challange for top 6 not to mind top 4. I predict 7th place again.

Hopefully we can improve on 7th so it's over to Mosh and Walsh to get the targets in

Publicly, top 6. Privately we should be targeting top 4. There is no reason we can't, provided we make good decisions wrt our squad over the summer. I can't help but look at Spurs and see how they have stepped out of the shadow of their North London rivals and transformed themselves into title contenders.. and with nothing seemingly fundamental changed other than having the right people at the right level, making the decisions to improve the club on and off the pitch.

Realistically, a serious top 4 challenge, with 5th being the lowest acceptable finish. As for the Europa League, if we qualify for the knock-out rounds, then win it. A trophy, especially a European trophy, cannot be taken lightly.

Couldn't give a damn about the League Cup. Would rather win EL than FA Cup, but either would do.

Spurs have set the blueprint for what we need to be. It took them about 5 years. With our staff, it should take us less, about 3.

We will overtake Arsenal and the RS. That being said, City and United shouldn't be too far away if we have a good summer. Spurs and Chelsea are not in sight as of right now.

Disagree about the League Cup. We should 100% be targeting that. As a club we've been a disgrace in that competition.
