Exit door.

I see the kneejerk convention has met again. And the point of "getting rid" of these players who have little resale value would be what? To lessen the numbers in our squad again? One day, someone on here will remember its a squad game.

neville should go and take with him neville neville and neville and please dont have anything to do with EFC again and btw - thats phil neville not his dads brothers lad

BT it is not kneejerk. I sid many would disagree and nowhere did I advocate getting shut in one go, clearly cannot be done. But they are players I would like to see out of GP as I do not think they are good enough, being able to do a job is not enough. Look at last season we could have sold Saha for a decentish fee and we could not replace. What? a 32 year old with dubious fitness, we could have found someone make no mistake. Distin was a panic buy, 5 mill for someone of his age and give him a 5 year contract, how daft was that, no wonder he gets to play.

Never know though not quite at the close of the window, so who knows. Personally I do not think we will see any movement involving our club. Watch the space.

I know that Roy Keane is current Ipswich's manager, but it's a too optimistic price even when dealing with Keano.

Really isn't. There's too much Hibbo hate on here. Sure, we've outgrown him, but for a lower PL side he'd be perfect. Experience, a proper defender, he'll do a job wherever.

I've never been a fan of Distin, so wouldn't be sad to see him go or relegated to the bench. Other than that, I don't see the point in selling any of those dudes, what exactly will you get for them? Each has a value to Everton that won't translate to the transfer market, imo.

Yes below I list plyers I would dearly love for them to be shown the exit door. I am not being sentimental either over years of service but am concerned in my view they are not upto the standard we need. Many will jump on me for this for sure so be it and I will end up on more ignore lists.

The players:-

Hibbert

Neville

Distin

Osman

Yobo

Yak

Saha

I know some will say they can still do a job well I can still eat my cheese as it is only one day from it's past use date does not mean it is that good. There will be cries of weakening the squad. I do not see it that way, to me it is casting adrift deadwood. When I see at the start of each of our games some of these players in the starting lineup or even on the bench, I shudder and dread the result.

I honestly think we will not be able to thoroughly progress until the manager stops using these players.

I'd be careful with that cheese mate.

I imagine that some of those players help keep the wage bill in line.

They may not be let go for that very reason.

So, we should get shut of all the players who aren't quite in the OP's starting XI and replace them with who exactly - and how quickly and for what wage demand?

Exactly. What a completely pointless comment. Poorly thought out given the clubs present state utterly nonsensical. 2/10

Reckons he was just talking about upgrades to be fair.

I'd get rid of them too. Freshen things up abit.

Who would we be left with then? Apart from some very promising youngsters, yes, but they or most were on the bench this time last year, and when injuries suspensions come into play, experience is the key. See this time last year up to November.

Most players we would have to try and buy in now, would all want first team football, possibly high tranfer fee and a hefty wage.....to sit on the bench?

Also, it's not Champ Man. I don't think we can just say advertise these players on the transfer list without causing too much of an issue with the remaining squad etc...In a perfect world if high bids came in for these players, perhaps they should be considered

I say after we beat Wolves on saturday, we'l start having more positive threads again. The power of a bad result is quite funny
