So Zat may have had a point when he suggested trying Lookman at LB for the U23s.?
..I think this is more about aiding a youngsters development. Zat was probably suggesting Lookman would be adequate cover in that position. Not so sure myself.

A bit tongue in cheek I admit and not very conventional. But it was a response in a thread to how we resolve our width ptoblem. Zat suggested trying him as a LWB in the U23s which is a bit left field but not deserving of the abuse he got. Just saying.!Horrendous idea.
Why can't he play tomorrow? I know it's very unlikely he would get picked anyway.Pics show Feeney training with first team today (can't play tomorrow) so seems he might at least be known to Koeman. Looks taller than I remember now, like over 6ft.

Was being a bit tongue n cheek mate. Zat proposed trying him as a LWB in front of a back 3 as a pitential solution to our lack of width. God knows Baines cant so it anymore. Didnt think trying it in the U23s carried much risk tbh. Who'd have thought Moses could pull it off...I think this is more about aiding a youngsters development. Well we need to start doing sonething different soon as doing the same thing certainly isnt working. Trying things out in the U23s first isnt the worst idea in the world as there aint any gimmies in the first team fixture list.Moses is a pure athlete though whereas Lookman isn't. Didn't surprise me at all he was decent there; same with a player like Antonio.
Like Antonio by the way. But another whose alleged price tag was a bit silly in the summer.Moses is a pure athlete though whereas Lookman isn't. Didn't surprise me at all he was decent there; same with a player like Antonio.
I was impressed by Lookman's ability to track back at the U20s World Cup, he was clearly instructed to do so , but he put a high amount of energy into it. If you want a defensive wing back then he'd struggle a bit in that department and he'd need some training and discipline, but as an attacking wing back I think he'd be fine . But this kid has got so much natural attacking ability we'd be better concentrating on developing his attacking discipline further, when to pass , when to shoot , not dribble into blind alleys etc .Was being a bit tongue n cheek mate.
