Can't see any of the current u23s breaking through to the 1st team now Walsh has gone on loan

Super, pleased with that . Birmingham not doing too well under 'Arry Redknap, but Walsh will get stuck in there .

Think I'm more pleased with our U23s transfer business today than the 1st teams. Two good loans out , two teenagers in.

Good moves for Walsh & Connolly that. We have a chock full so good to get two seniors out. Gives a chance for the best U18's to push on.

Great loan deal for him, proper club where he will be put under pressure to perform and he will excell imo.

Well who knows, it's certainly a big transition for Unsy to handle this season, from last year's team we have 8 players in the Championships, Grant in league2, 5 players in first team squad. Im going to love the U23s this season just to see if anyone can break through with lots of unknowns like Donkor who may crash and burn by January and a load of new signings we haven't had time to evaluate yet. And it seems to me that Lewis Gibson is now our 2nd best Left back behind Baines, RK will play someone more experienced like Martina there if needed ....... but its a long season , so back to " who knows"

Only issue with Birmingham is they've signed A LOT this summer so it's just how much game time Walshy will get.

Connolly and Walsh for me were the two thought might have figured in the matchday squad .Would be a big step up for Gibson or bowler to feature bit who knows

With the piss poor deadline day it probably means Holgate will get more chances in the centre of defence and in turn kenny should get more games too with the amount we have coming up before xmas

Maybe it's to avoid the problem we had with Galloway where West Brom wouldn't let us recall him in January.

also got a big first team squad once everyone fit, central striker excepted of course. We genuinely have a squad of 29 (including Niasse) which is way bigger than anybody else in the league. Think we have 8 young players on loan at Championship clubs now which is testament to the quality we have at the club. On a disappointing day it's good to take stock.

...from what I can see on the Internet, Adeniran was a last day signing from Fulham. He's gone under the radar a bit but at 18 he's already played 5 times for Fulham and scored on debut. He's worth checking out on YouTube, big lad for a midfielder and a few goals nominated for league goal of the season competition.

Be very interesting to see how he does.
