Everton Youth Teams Thread

I've posted it may times in the last year but I know not many agree.

Apart from our current golden generation, last years u23s, there's nothing behind them.

Feeney is not great, Baningime neither. They are the best of a bad bunch but nothing special whatsoever in my opinion.

Baningime has stood out every time I have seen him. He has every chance of being a 1st team player here.

Nah but I'd love to be wrong.

Baningime has more chance than Feeney who I personally think has no chance whatsoever of making it here but it's easy to stand out in our 18s we're very poor and it was proven so last year.

Baningime did ok for the 23s but those games were the biggest of his career to date, when your asked to do it week in week out, it's a different story.

He would struggle to make the bench for a club like City at u18 level which says a lot about us at that age as Benny is our best player.

Unsworth rates Feeney and that's enough for me right now. Remember these lads can still make great strides at this age, they are by no means the finished product.

2 years ago, Davies was not the one you would have said would be a regular in our first team.

I was going to chime in with the same arguement . I didn't think Davies was anywhere near the first time at the start of the first season let alone being one of our stand out players in the last few months .
There's still time for those young lads , plenty of kids don't stand out till a lot later .

They also have some potential physical growth as well, which can work both ways. Remember what they were saying about Dowell having a hard time as he was filling out. You look at Foulds and he looks like a kid, Connolly seems fairly scrawny as well, but the experience allied to some more power and the skills they possess can change an outlook.

Look at Niasse and even Hazard and how powerful they look against most of our lads.
