You didn't watch the under 23's last season?
Walsh was our best player imo, much better and more consistent than dowell. Even better than davies who was part of the team till Christmas.

Was the only Everton player up for under 23 player of the season.

I don't think he was physically ready either. It's the main reason Davies got into the team so early as he was grown up. Dowell has grown into his body a bit as well. Walsh is still a little too lightweight
