One of the biggest game these young lads will have played and absolutely ruined by a prat of a ref, disgraceful.

Terrible 5 minutes by the ref. Gutted for the player and Gutted for the team. Hope they hold it together now. Up to this point, they can be really proud of their performance . Worked there socks off . It's one thing to lose but to have a game taken away from you by such amateur referring is so harsh on this group of players - proud of these everton youth

Personally I agree they've worked hard but either the coaching is appalling or they collectively lack composure and enjoy not having the ball

Looking at what is happening in the Prem and then you see this. It's surely education. You don't get worse than that decision, it's incredibly poor. The City player was claiming a throw-in.

To be fair, he has been pretty even-handed in his commentary and thought the penalty was debatable.
