Everton: we look an unhappy camp

The worry is that he can't get this group performing

He's got a decent team yet we are struggling against some of the poorest sides in the league
Agree but we got off to a good start with these players against average teams,i am willing to give time.

....we had an 'atmosphere around the club' thread last week. Folk know my view that we've not played well all season but obviously winning games keeps things relatively upbeat.

I accept we are in transition and RKs priority might have been making us more difficult to beat but losing isn't as bad if we are providing an attacking threat. I just ask how busy are opposing keepers. There isn't a fluidity about our play, we don't get players ahead of and around Lukaku. I appreciate and welcome that our full backs aren't recklessly marauding upfield but I can see why RK wants more from all of his midfielders.
The thread you mention was more wide ranging and took in ownership and media coverage etc. This thread is more specific and concerns the players and the creeping back in of their old habits...habits that will bury Koeman if he doesn't address it/assuage them.

I thought the four game win streak augured well for a more intense game plan. Even though they could only sustain it for 45 minutes per game it looked like we'd turned a corner. However, that has turned to dust and all we're left with is an appalling brand of negative football and increasingly poor results.

It's going to have to come to a head. I can see Southampton mauling us and the aftermath will be massive.

That's just the honeymoon period, Players getting that lift from a new man at the helm

It quickly vanished which is a massive worry

Yep, I did mention that as a likely other explanation. Still, they did play that more intense game and now they dont. That leaves us with the question as to why they dont. Players becoming unhappy and royally pissed off and/or less impressed by the new regime....hence the thread.

Stick Romeu on Barkley and VVD on Lukaku...watch Barry and Gana look into the sky as our defenders punt the ball to bolasie.

We'd played by that time a lot more fancied teams than we have this season. NOW it gets tough and our trajectory is already down over two and a half months.

In any case, I'm not panicking, I;m concerned that this Koeman project has hit the wall and looks done already.
Lets see what we can do in January

The players we currently have are spineless to a man, lack intelligence and vision, seem to have no pride or guts, there seems to be a lack of leadership on and off the pitch and no apparent game plan at the moment,I have found the football at best average and most games could have gone either way, prepared to give the new regime time to stamp some authority and clear out a lot of deadwood

They'll play openly S'ton. We stand a decent chance if our forwards are playing well and score on the break. Still, they are going to be tough.

I see this quite a lot on here, Its a forum to discuss our club, Obviously people will have differing opinions, Sly digs are very petty and uncalled for imo

Who in the current first team is dead wood?
