Seriously mate, you backed Martinez to a ridiculously large extent, well into his 3rd season, so for you to start 'expressing concern' about Koeman after just 3 months and with us 7th in the table is just hilarious. Extremely hard to take you seriously and these threads just smack of someone who doesn't like Koeman and is desperate for his opinion to be justified.

You're having a nightmare mate, spreading your negative bile and making excuses for players who have let us down for several years now and are clearly not as good as they think they are.

I did say he is trying to change the system. Now if he has not got the players that can take instruction then they are the players he will replace. People seem to think that pressing is simple well its not because pressing is collective. We may be doing pressing buts its individual pressing which is more counter productive than productive as the space left is filled by opposition and used against us. We are nowhere near being good at pressing because the players are not in unison. We have too many players that are not clever players in fact they are thick and don't have the intelligence to be top players. They lack movement, they lack fluidity because they have to think what to do with the ball....this may be due to lack of movement around and in front of them but mainly I would say its because they are not on the ball and can't think quick enough. The playing staff is what is holding us back and they cannot grasp instruction because too many are either individual as in selfish or scared, hence sideways sideways football. Not enough genuinely clever players to read situations and act on them.

Its only my opinion but that's the way I see it....lack of movement and lack of intelligence. We have a number of players with talent but no brain to make them into top players.

I could not concur more wholeheartedly. Everton come across as a dumb team to me, totally lacking footballing nous.
 
Decent op this @davek . The whole club feels like it's on a prescipice at the moment. New stadium, old stadium. Established players that are past it or under performing , youth players not being utilised. Koeman not on message with the entire fanbase. Stuck between the carrot and the stick with the players. It's all about balance and at the moment the club feels out of whack.

The team have been questioned again this week about their intensity by Koeman - who also let slip midweek he hoped for four replacements for them in January. Next up is a tough grudge match away to S'ton whose players will be fired up and then 5 tough games on the spin after that culminating on Boxing Day away to Leicester. I cant see the type of fight here with this team that we could envisage picking up more than 5 points. The lack of reaction after the Chelsea mauling was shocking, and that's the best chance we'll have of nailed on three points out the window for some time to come. I hope in private they're sorting this out and that the manager is accepting that he too needs to up his game, because that dressing room can be pretty volatile. Once its lost it's lost for good. They dont do it in public, they make the anodyne comments - all the right noises about doing their 'level best' and 'dont know where it's going wrong' etc, but they know how to 'work to rule' and slip into a crisis mode very quickly.

This upcoming Southampton game will be enormous IMO.

Seriously, how can any of that be interpreted as a windup? I'm not trying to wind people up here. Cold hard truth I am afraid.
