Everton: we look an unhappy camp

Galloway is a talent, forgive me for ignoring what Pulis thinks of him.

Janssen and Slimini cost less than 40m combined, the boy Vinny is struggling atm, but hes a talent and will come good, if Walsh cant find 2 strikers for 40 he may as well resign and let me take over.

:coffee::coffee::coffee:
Koeman clearly doesn't think so as he sent him off to the Hawthorns. If we ship out Rom in Jan, as you propose, we need to replace his goals immediately. If Rom doesn't score we lose more often than not. We won't have the time for our strikers to "come good".

Pfffft!! What do you think is the way forward for the club then regarding manager/owner? I'm interested in your thoughts
Something that I fear he cant or wont do: turf out the old guard, and in time play the younger players we have coming through. That was a breath of fresh air last game of last season when Unsworth did that. He also needs to get creative players in that can carry the ball and find a forward pass. To do that he'll have to get top dollar for our outgoing players and hope that Walsh has done his homework as well as he did at Leicester.

He scored a hatrick vs Sunderland, which won us the game.
1 against Boro, in a game we won 3-1
1 against West Ham in a game we won 2-0

And his other goals have come in draws, so I make that 1 game we wouldnt have won without his goals this season.

After 12 games what would you say that system is mate?

What apart from not overplaying at the back has changed?

I did say he is trying to change the system. Now if he has not got the players that can take instruction then they are the players he will replace. People seem to think that pressing is simple well its not because pressing is collective. We may be doing pressing buts its individual pressing which is more counter productive than productive as the space left is filled by opposition and used against us. We are nowhere near being good at pressing because the players are not in unison. We have too many players that are not clever players in fact they are thick and don't have the intelligence to be top players. They lack movement, they lack fluidity because they have to think what to do with the ball....this may be due to lack of movement around and in front of them but mainly I would say its because they are not on the ball and can't think quick enough. The playing staff is what is holding us back and they cannot grasp instruction because too many are either individual as in selfish or scared, hence sideways sideways football. Not enough genuinely clever players to read situations and act on them.

Its only my opinion but that's the way I see it....lack of movement and lack of intelligence. We have a number of players with talent but no brain to make them into top players.

The Norwich game in all fairness was an easy game for the younger players. Norwich already relegated, last game of the season, Bermuda shorts all ready packed in there suit cases, the goodison crowd was buzzing because the fraud had gone.
Would the youth players be able to withstand the pressures and physical demands over a season with the boo boys on their case when things aren't going well?

I stated, if Rom doesn't score we typically don't win. In the games he has not scored we have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 3. In the games he has scored in we have won 3 and drawn 2. The idea that the other goals would have definitely happened in the absence of Rom's goals is facile. Rom scores and we do well, he doesn't and we don't. This is true of all teams with their top strikers which is why we need someone to come in and score immediately if we shift Rom, as you suggest. It would be a disaster and I hope we don't do what you propose.

I just really hate him at the moment, he did f all yesterday but cry like a lil bish and he does not look interested.

Hes a great goalscorer, but hes a terrible footballer, its unlikely we could replace his goals, but im starting to see @tubeys POV, if he doesnt score, he does nothing else and another player might score less goals, but would do so much more for the team.

Koeman will try and make him play actual football, but I cant see how he would be impressed with his play and would probably cheer when hes sold and given the chance to get somebody else in.

Ignoring the fact this is such a poor attempt at a wind-up from the OP, I'm disappointed there's no poll. Ready to vote chesse on toast 'n all. Poor start is down to a mixture of perhaps an atmosphere soured a little by odd noises coming from the manager and a squad with an attitude problem. A squad assembled by the OP's revered Martinez. Clear out needed, and some time afforded to the manager (as was given to RM) and we'll see an improvement post-Christmas I'm sure. Just a shame we didn't take the opportunity presented to us in the summer.

I don't disagree with him being a pain in the posterior and a sulky toddler. I also don't disagree with shipping him out. Just not in Jan, it's a terrible time to get replacements. And if we do sell him it should be on 1st July and his replacement should sign on the same day. None of this John Stones will he - won't he nonsense (particularly when we all knew he would).

Im a fickle beast, he will score next week and I will be getting his face tattooed on my arse.
