Got up at 2.15am to watch that game. That second half did things to me that only Everton can do, build me up and then burn me down. Hope everyone who went to the game enjoyed their trip.

I'm Sorry I don't agree, martial is miles ahead of Lukaku at the moment, but they are different kind of players, so no the future it will be hard to judge who's better. Put it this way, if Martial was playing for us today we would have won.

Martial looked better than he is because Besic is not a right back. Made him look like Hibbo vs Malouda in the 09 final.

I've said my piece on the manager.But these players are great men to talk the talk.The most important place for talking was out on that pitch and they didn't deliver.I don't mean to sound harsh but i stand over what i say.I actually think this is a pretty mentally weak Everton team.It's not just the manager a whole new change of mentality within the playing squad is required as well.Hopefully the new manager can achieve that.

Bar that, we sung our hearts out, they couldn't of asked for more encouragement. Barely heard a peep from the mancs till the end. That bleeding 'Turny marshall' song..

Unfortunately ours were out in clear force today with a good amount of drink or drugs in their system.

After a poorish 1st half we had a bit of a go. Ultimately we didn't take our chances to go 2-1 up and paid the ultimate price conceding in the 93rd minute. Conceding late goals has been a common theme this season. And I'd extend that to big games we've had in semi finals over the years. In short, we lack the killer instinct!!

Home. Shattered. What a horrible journey home.

Huge fight at Newport Pagnell service station, 200 odd fans according to police. Delayed the bus for half an hour, as they were searching all the manc coaches at the station. At least one fan was slashed.

This match just reinforced to me once again that Mr Martinez and all his Wigan players are not good enough for Everton and will not be taking us forward as a football club. Add Cleverley to that list. Add Lennon to that list who was abysmal.

We had them on the ropes after we scored. Then slowly just backed off. Perfect time to bring on Mirallas and go for the kill when they were down.

I posted this during the week re team selection, and I believe I was 100% accurate in hindsight.

I wanted Deulofeu from the start but, as the game unfolded should have been on earlier for the pathetic Lennon.

Their defence was there for the taking. Yet for 45 minutes we played deep in our half, passing from side to side, passing backwards, as if instructed not to attack and just do a damage control after the derby massacre.

Mr Martinez. Clueless. That the players pulled out that magnificent 2nd half display from nowhere after months of watching that 1st half rubbish style is the ultimate indictment. It gives me some hope that they have not been scarred as footballers long term, and that a quality Manager has something to work with immediately with 3 or 4 quality additions.
