United's young front 3 though.

Bloody impressive.
Stating the obvious but that was the difference between the two sides. Their front 3 was full of confidence and have been playing well, whereas our key offensive players Barkley and rom went into the game lacking form and confidence. You can't expect to turn up for a semi final at turn it on like a switch. The apathy that has seriously affected our league form has affected the sharpness of rom and Barkley today. Special mention though for john stones after the grief he got on wed (quite rightly) he showed glimpses of the talent we know the lad possesses second half.

I've just finished work : did we play well, or was it a timid surrender ?

First half utter embarassment. Didn't lay a glove on them and should have been further behind.

Second half we outplayed them. Missed a pen. Gerry came on and made things happen. Got our equaliser. Missed chances to go ahead. Conceded 93rd minute in somewhat unfortunate fashion. Everton that.

Lukaku had a shocker. Missed from the spot and should have had 4.

Summed up 'martinez's everton' in 90 mins. Very poor first half, United deservedly led at ht (although rom misses to glorious chances on the break). Second half really took the game to utd, created numerous chances to level then win the game only to concede our customary late goal that has epitomised our play this season.

Thanks.

Deja Vu that.

honest to god,, i knew with all our missed chances they were going to rob us in the dying minute... martinez put to one side, we really should have won that match today... even with all the nagativity and boooing at half time, the lads put in a proper performance 2nd half and deserved to win it.

by the way at one nil down at half time betfair had us at 22/1 to win in 90. WHICH WE SHOULD OF DONE!

Martinez didn't even have the decency to give Ossie a run out at Wembley for what was surely his last chance to play there. To say I'm more than dissapointed by that is an understatement.
