Today was a negative, Lynne, and right now I need two positives...

Yes but look at that first half defending on the six yard box in massive numbers, inviting them on giving Rooney the freedom of the park only for Robles it should have been all over!

Tactics in the first half were to try to absorb and hit on the counter. It didn't work...hard to expect a side with Besic at RB to defend and counter. Second half tactics were to take the game to them and press (at least some) and it worked much better. Bringing Del on even allowed for a couple of really good counters.

It's an underdog mentality we can't shake.

Martinez is gone now mate. Not on the back of today, which all in all wasn't too bad performance-wise, but on the back of everything.

Think a loss/draw against Bournemouth last week and he'll be out (it may even happen before that). If not I think he's gone at the end of the season.

Pellegrini seems likely. Think it could happen.
Absolutely right, we have the "England " mentallity were as unfortunately a team not to far away has the "Germany" mentallity , we need a manager and hierarchy that can turn this on its head!

Lyndon Lloyd - probably the reason I'm a sports writer today.

Ah.....so it is often said by one person.

Not said often by many people.

No, I wouldn't think it would be.

It is just bunkum, isn't it?

I mean 21 years without a trophy is bad enough, without that Cup win it would now be 29.

And no hypothetical conjecture by this Lyndon Lloyd fellow is going to change many people's minds into believing our 1995 victory was, in fact, pyrrhic.

Look it was a game of two halfs, but as usual under RM wrong score line!

I'm going to stand up for RM here, but it nearly could have worked, Rom had two fab chances and fluffed them both. But it didnt, bye bobby
