Yep. I've taken off my blue-tinted specs regarding Godfrey after today and see him on par with Holgate - at best. Get Coady in and I won't give Godfrey a second thought apart from hoping his recovery goes well. He's not good enough to be playing for us though.

Disappointing rather than devastating. Clearly we need a centre forward. If we're going to play with a back 3 we need more attacking intent from the wingbacks.

Iwobi and Tarkowski played well.

Strikes me the type of boring, stable performance against a good side that is perfectly reasonable given where we're at. Lots of that will likely keep us from trouble.

Not all doom and gloom. One stupid individual error has cost us yet again. In dire need of a striker, as if we didn’t know already, just as a focal point. The midfield will be overhauled which will mean less of Doucoure killing us, at least.

The Ref cost us as Sterling fell over wasn’t a foul and then the pen comes from it

Some positives. Gordon, tarky and Patterson all did very well.

Moved the ball far better, defended (lots of) set pieces well, lots of effort and endeavour up front but quality was lacking. Alli abysmal.

Iwobi MOM for me.

Thought Alli offered more variety than Gordon up top. Didn't lose the ball and much as Gordon and Gray

Its an absolute disgrace the club left Lampard to go into that game with that front line. I want to see Kenwright and Moshiri come out and publicly apologise to manager and supporters for their ineptitude

Not too fussed by the defeat. That is not reflective of how our team will look in a few weeks.

Gray, McNeil and Pickford were awful

Iwobi and Tarkowski were standouts and everyone else played really well, including the donkey who gave the penalty away

Thought Tarkowski was excellent for the most part.
