Well I've seen nothing to suggest Cahill or Fellaini can do a better job. He protects the back four to a reasonable level and he also does the job there supposed to do - get on the ball and pass it.

I'd agree with you if Neville or Arteta would fit but in Fellaini, Cahill and possibly Heitinga I don't see where we have the options. Someone who can get on the ball and get of grip of the game is a must - as proved today. We'll brush average sides like Blackburn aside.

I just don't see how we can leave him out at the moment. That's why I want the midfield to play closer together, so we can cover Rodwell, Fellaini and Cahill's deficiencies and become more of a solid unit.

Never said Cahill or Fellaini can do a better job. They're playing on the basis that Neville is injured really.

Im not saying leave him out at the moment but I would try Heitinga in there to see what he offers.

Game was won pretty much as soon as we touched the ball. Blackburn offered nothing at all.

Impressed with the usual suspects, but once again I found myself frustrated at the ridiculous subs again.

Game is won right? Who needs games? Who needs minutes to sharpen up some fitness?

Yakubu that is who! Not Jo, not Hibbert and not Gosling.

For me it really pissed me off, Moyes is just far too predictable in his changes and none of the three that came on made an impact whatsoever.

They were nothing subs where nothing was gained. We could have taken advantage of the situation and brought on Yak, Wallace and Agard.

Silly again from Moyes, he gets a 3 from me!

I agree with this post, except i think its good that gosling gets a game. he is young and may be a first teamer for us in years to come.

I'm fully expceting Osman to have a good season - he'll play fewer games and be able to play in his preferred position more often. Also he will be more involved in the play than usual as we seem to have finally found players who like to keep the ball on the deck and pass and move.

Davey? Is that you? Are you going to put Osman in the middle? Oh it's not you.

Right ok.

A fully fit squad, Osman would struggle for a place on the bench. But we dont have a fully fit squad and he can do a job if called on.

Chin up Leon lerd.

The problem with Osman is that he is not and never will be a right winger or right midfielder. He has no pace and never takes a full back on.

So it's not really his fault he is forced to play out of position.

It gets a bit boring to be honest, the abuse certain players get is constant, whether they play well or not. I have some players I'm not fully convinced about but I won't rip into them after every game, it's just not my style.

Osman wasn't awful today by any means, he wasn't brilliant either but he did a job and filled in for an injured player. A good squad player to have really.

Yeah it does get tiresome. Especially when they don't applaud someone who did well.

Fellaini was getting ripped by some old fellas today, and then he pulled off a nice few touches right in the middle of being ripped, it was like they were waiting for him to **** up just to vent some fury.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of Hibbert, but at the start of the season I did give him credit where it's due.

Fellaini is one, Jo is another aswell.

Hibbert and Osman probably lead the way.

Ok, just watched the match on tape delay (you don't know how hard it was not to log on and get the score or just stay off the internet in general for fear of seeing the score.)

Really pleased for Moyes and the players. I felt that if we had a good result in the Europa match, we could use it to build confidence and get rolling in the league and that's just what's happened.

I thought all of the the players played well for the most part with special mention to Saha, Rodwell, Osman, and Howard. Pienaar his usual self (meaning creative and dangerous) and no one really put a bad foot forward.
