I sense a lot of anger.

Frustrating game tbh. Had a gash stream which kept stopping and seemed to sum up the game basically.

They do have the second best defence in the league so it's no real surprise that we struggled to create any real chances.

...disappointing for me. Win, lose or draw I'm generally ok if we create chances. I don't think we did that today. They were stonewall but that's what you are up against. We didn't look like breaking them down, a draw was a fair result as far as I'm concerned.

Last season martinez would have played

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Alcaraz Baines

Mccarthy Barry

Mcgeady Barkley Pienaar

Lukaku

And I'm 90% certain we would have won that today. Problem is he's too busy clowning around with the team

Barkley- LM
Eto'o RM
Lukaku on bench or on the wing

It's like a Brenda Rodgers wet dream absolute madness just keep it simple ffs

....it's a fair point that he's trying to accommodate certain players. He has a successful team model, perhaps he should simply stick to it rather than play square pegs in round holes.

I think if they go that route they destroy what they have. They are a good footballing team and have got where they have with that. Monks has took the hump at recent decisions and gone snide to make a point. They were an ugly team there today. I'd give them no credit whatsoever.

Horses for courses mate, he set out to stifle the game of the second top scorers this year and they were away, good tactics by them, theyll play differently at their gaff and away at a lot of other teams

Just home from the match. Really disappointed with it to be honest. We had so much play in the 1st half, yet couldn't break them down. The game for me was crying out for Lukaku to start.
Naismith was so wasteful with the ball I can't recall him passing to a player in a blue shirt, maybe it's time for him to be rotated out for a game.
Also I don't think Eto'o should start up top, he drifts out wide or comes deep for the ball, leaving no one up top, as it happened plenty of times the first half.
And don't get me started on the dick head officiating.

Maybe so, but if you start that game of encouraging players to play ugly when you come across a decent team like us who can play, then that encourages a mind set that they aren't up to playing football themselves to win a point or three.

It's a shame if Monks is the one who brings that open flowing game of Swansea's to an end just because he pissed his pants at a decision or two going against them. I thought they were easily the most cynical team to come to Goodison this season.
