Well that was poor. Didn't test the keeper and hardly created anything. They came to spoil and get a point and did it very well. Crap from us though.

Something off key with this Everton team though. They're not a confident team at all. A shadow of themselves from last season.
We turned a corner of late, yes. But I dont think we have any sense of what we want to do this season.

A win next week and we will be talking about champions league again just like last week. And if that was to happen 3 wins and a draw out of four would be a realistic high hope. That was frustrating but calm down lads, one week we are on course for champions league, next we are finishing 8th if we are lucky.

20th i say ffs, seriously though before this game [the next 5 ]
all seemed winnable, theres going too be a slip up in one off them
now the four .. three wins and a draw like mentioned would put us
right back up there. then get tonked by City? but its not looking as bad
its tight at the moment and alot of games too play still

Disappointing. Bring on Lille, 8 points with 2 to play in the europa group would go a long ways in washing away today's taste of mediocrity.

A shame our Alcaraz broke again.

Do know what we expected. We aren't the same attacking force as last season for some reason. Full backs don't seem to be given as much a free roll. No real belief from players until last 10 or 15. Throw the atmosphere in that time scale too. We'll be renting out beds soon. Get a nice bit of shut eye from 3 to 5 just to prepare for a large sat night. Hopefully get 3 points next week

No width - disjointed midfield Naismith and Eto in each others way - one + point Besic looked very good but no out let for us today - they played it rough Bony was lucky to stay on - The ref was poor to say the least - why did he fetch it back for a foul on Besic when we were in a promising attack baffled me as did most of his bad decisions against us today, but we were as poor as he reffed the game today!

When Alcaraz went off the obvious replacement was Hibbo, but Martinez was brave enough and alert enough to put Besic on. I don't get the criticism of Martinez. Team selection was fine, Lukaku is carrying an injury, and according to SNN McGeady had an excellent game. Swansea defended well, as they have done under Monk, and we are up to 9th. Chelsea look nailed on to win the title, but with City faltering any three from the top ten could get CL this year, including us. Its going to be a close and exciting season.

I can't see us getting top 4 this season. We're 1/4 of the way in and I just think we aren't playing as a team. We don't look balanced, too slow and aren't creating enough chances.

Arsenal and Utd will get their [Poor language removed] together and that's not even considering Spurs, Liverpool and now Southampton.

There is no variety. No change as we attack or go forward. Rodwell would flourish in this team with the amount of side way passes left and right. Everything is down the left or right with over-lapping full backs. Nothing through the middle at al and the odd time it is, we have our back to goal. Just not good enough and so very predictable.

Ok someone has to be blamed. We need a good blaming if we're to let this pent up angst out and move on.
