Agree mate, they went out with a plan to press us as much as they could and later on to drop deep and stick 10 then 9 behind the ball, as well as being a bit snide when they had too, can see them getting a fair few draws or sneaking wins against the 'top 8' this year, reminded me a bit of Pullis's palace from last year ;o
I think if they go that route they destroy what they have. They are a good footballing team and have got where they have with that. Monks has took the hump at recent decisions and gone snide to make a point. They were an ugly team there today. I'd give them no credit whatsoever.

Had Eto and Lukaku stayed in the box with Baines and Coleman sending crosses either side, that physical presence could have got us a goal. As it turns out, we want Lukaku and Eto'o to send the crosses in so a midget like Pienaar can leap to score.

Seriously though how can a manager go from being so bob on with tactics/subs/picking a balanced side to how he's been this season. I seriously can not remember one week this season where he's made absolute spot on subs/picked and stuck to a well balanced side it seems were left questioning him near enough every week we're not consistent and it's worrying tbh

Southampton are a team going places...third or fourth come season end
Can't see it happening myself... they've had a fairly easy run of fixtures and have lost to every decent team they've played so far (Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs). Although they do seem to put away the lesser teams fairly easily, something we seem to struggle with
