Very frustrating game. Played some nice stuff but we were so easy to contain from a Swansea Pov. They played us well, but they weren't really a threat. The problem is that we weren't either. McGeady should've been left on - he was offering us an outlet on the right and a bit of pace. Barkley and Naismith unfortunately can't play together - as it means one of them ends up stuck out wide.

Howard - 6 - didn't have much to do
Coleman - 6 - defended well but again couldn't get forward as much
Jagielka - 6 - solid again
Barry - 6 - ok but a bit sloppy at times (playing at CB didn't help)
Baines - 6 - same as ever but really bad from corners
McCarthy - 7 - probably our best player.
Besic - 6 - he's very composed but couldn't impose himself
McGeady - 6 - frustrating at times but have us width and pace
Naismith - 5 - Poor tbh, was disappointed In him last week and same again today.
Barkley - 6 - out of position but still pretty ineffective. Some bright moments
Eto'o - 6 - Didn't really have any service

Lukaku - 5 - should've scored at the end but other than that didn't have much chance to get into it
Pienaar - 5 - sloppy when he came on
Alcaraz - 6 - was looking decent. Shame he got injured as it knocked our shape

Martinez - 6

Agree with Every rating, but McGeady "Frustrating at times" made me chuckle. It should be put on his headstone.

extremely frustrated with that especially against ten men for a bit. swansea had a game plan n it worked.couldnt find a way through...not having a go but that was naismiths poorest display of season. saying that piennar did fkall when came on. I was also wondering who was meant to be playing where at times

Meh, disappointing result that.
All over 'em first half but lost our way second half until right near the end.

A game to instantly forget, in fact, I already have. Still, one goal conceded in our last four matches is an improvement on how we were at the start of the season. Bring on the French.

Too many similar players in the final third today and they nearly all underperformed. Swansea defended well, though, and we were unlucky at times.

McCarthy outstanding, Jagielka, Coleman, Eto'o and Barry all good. Unfortunately Lukaku, McGeady, Barkley and especially Naismith were poor. Pienaar looked good when he came on and Besic did alright despite thinking he was on the right wing.

Referee was useless. The advantage he didn't play summed him up and there should have been way more injury time.

Never take our chance to go above them do we? Ah well. Win on Thursday and we're almost through so that's sound.

Thought we were decent enough until the final third, reorganised well enough,Barry slotted in great, apart from the one near slip in the second half, just needed something to break for us today, credit to Swansea though, very well organised throughout,Friend though,he's definitely not our Friend is he!?!

Thought Bony was immensely lucky to avoid a second yellow for that lunge at Barkley. He does look a great striker though, holds the ball up very well and of course carries a threat
Yep,Friend totally bottled that one IMHO as he knew he'd have to send him off,so he just waved play on.

It was a strange decision to play Barkley out wide, didn't make sense! I'm a big fan of Naismith but he looks like he's starting to flag a bit after a great start to the season! He has played a lot of minutes (pre-season too) and I think he'll benefit from a few weeks on the bench!

Only the second game I've gotten to this season. Totally boring first half, very frustrating second. The lower Gladys was unusually quiet throughout I thought
