The minute we sub DCL, we will get overrun, mark my words. Not because he is such a great player, but simply because he is our only outlet against the high pressure that Stoke applied in the early minutes. Koeman is not a fool, there is a very clear plan behind his starting lineup (of course!). But please get us a striker that can hold up the ball, as neither Rooney or Sandro are able to do so (so far).

He wasn't horrid but attacks get to him and stop. Twice or three time he went forward, had space, didn't even look up - just turned back and passed it (badly, twice) to the other side.

To go with several other bad passes, one of which was a 10 yard pass for Baines that went out for a throw in - he's not doing amazingly by any means. Then again this isn't his "strong point" for me, he's become more of a no-nonsense type of defender as he's aged, which makes sense.

I'm more concerned about why our two holding midfielders aren't ripping the ball off our CBs and getting us playing.

I'd put it as one holding mid as Gana is also a cover for RWB apparently, but I get what you mean here.
