A few observations:

1) Everton were the worst I've seen them in the first half in a long long time.

2) Too many players to mention that were that poor.

3) Spurs, for all of their domination, couldn't create many chances.

4) Martinez with inspired subs (forget the starting line up for a second)

5) Everton the better team the second half.

6) Despite this, couldn't create too many chances ourselves.

7) I would have said that a draw wasn't even deserved but we did enough in the 2nd half to warrant that draw.

Finally...

8) The less said about this match, the better. Roll on Blues.

Actually I think there is a lot to take away from this game.

Spurs are a top team and they battered us for the first 30/35 minutes.

The lads stood up well to them and as you say, Bill, they never really looked like scoring.

But the team stepped up after half time and we got on the front foot.

Then the substitutions were a declaration of intent......Roberto made them early and he made them positive.

Tha team showed character today....the manager showed both tactical nous and courage.

And I have to say I thoroughjy enjoyed what was IMO an enthralling game.

Very good points.

It was a very odd game. Reminded me a bit of last years Anfield derby (0-0) and the away match against Arsenal ( 0-0). It seemed in all these games, they could add 2 days of extra time and the score would still be the same. I suspect something similar to occur this year vs Southampton. However, when you play Chelsea, City or Manure, you just know they will punish you hard if you don't do everything 100%. I guess there is different quality there

Different teams provide completely different proposistion's regardless of quality. Chelsea we won, but certainly didn't have to deal with anywhere near the pressure spurs put us under first half. The city defeat I never really felt outdone by them at all but suddenly found us 3-1 down.

It's a funny old game!

To think that they have spent 100 million and looked toothless in attack - RM chose the wrong team without Ross Barkley- Lukaku was isolated - Osman was average as most of them were, but to me SP was woefully poor passing wise, and how he was not subbed was mind boggling imo!
