whatever way you dress it up, I was hoping for more from today like

still pretty pleased with the season so far like, one defeat in the league ? not too shabby

Outclassed and completely failed. ...the description of a game of two halves by teams sharing the points.

Laughing.

I'd hate to hear how you two chuckleheads would describe a defeat.

I still fail to see how saying Spurs outclassed us in the first half is so amusing and wrong. I even supplied the definition of outclassed for you. We couldn't put a string of passes together and very rarely stepped foot out of our half. They absolutely bummed us without putting it in the back of the net. It was painful.

They didn't do anything. They were gummy - completely toothless. We made them look half decent. Second half it was a different story.

Thats all there was to it. Talk of being outclassed by them is ridiculous.

We were outclassed in the first half in midfield. Had their striker been interested in playing they'd have scored a few too no doubt. We couldn't pass it and had nothing up front as Spurs were too strong all over the field.

Second half we were better yes. Perhaps I should have said we were outclassed for an hour of the 90 minutes. Anyway, not like I need to explain myself to you, but we were utter dog **** for 60 minutes today and anybody with eyes in their head can see that.

I sat and watch them out pass us , close us down and beat our full backs for the majority of a 45minute half. We couldnt get into our flow. So to describe it as outclassed for 45 minutes isnt as wide of the mark as you say and the English dictionary shows it's a good descriptive for what happened.

We played very poorly in general in the first half but after 25 mins the shaky period stopped and we had two good banks of four each time they had possession and they could go nowhere with it just back and forth. I remember it clearly changing at this point as this was what I expected to see from the start. This continued for most of the rest of the game apart from when we pushed a few times late on and they got a little more room.

They did well to take advantage of our poor start but created very little. Thats not to say my heart wasnt in my mouth waiting for a goal to come....it was, but in retrospect they failed to cause much threat in 25 minutes MAX of good play by them and terrible play by us. We were only going to get better and come back in to it and we did. Spurs fans for example on the Guardian match report all say a draw was fair and are complaining about their lack of cutting edge.

So for me....there was no outclassing. Spurs were poor enough themselves as they didn't do enough to take advantage of our worst period of play this season and from there got less adventurous. Us passing like the players had never met before had nowt to do with Spurs being better.

Spurs were that impressive they couldn't create a decent chance all game.

Am I being told here that the rabble who conceded three to West Ham at home are now being elevated to a class above us?

Lets just agree to say neither team today covered themselves in glory and went away with a deserved point each...because neither deserved all thee.

How did we get bummed? Rubbish. Explain both AVB and Vertonghen calling it a great point...

First half we did get bummed - hard, ain't seen anything like it since Wigan last year. Couldn't get out of our half. Good point for Spurs because we stepped up second half. The discussion was soley based on the first half between me and Davek. Sure you'll agree that first half we were utter pants.

We played poorly in the first half, we played much better in the second, the ref was crap and a draw was fair. Stop debating the dictionary definitions of words you utter beauts.
