Makes me smile when they include the Goalie in those "average position" stat things!
This time last year number 24 was doing star jumps at the other end.
Few observations from last night.
1. How quickly has Barkley matured, top drawer performance. Imagine how good he could have been now, if he was given more game time towards the end of last season.
2. Anyone think Lukaku tired so much in the second half, due to his lack of match practice. (His last 90 minutes must have been for Chelsea pre-season). I think Martinez keeping him on, will only benefit him in the coming weeks.
3. As soon as fit Piennar must be put back on the left to assist baines. I never thought I would say this we looked more threatening down the right.
4. Deulofeu will be a be great impact player against a tiring defence.
Just a small fix on this:
Deulofeu will be a be great player against a defence
He's a cocky little sod who needs to learn how to pass it
He drove me to desperation at times last night
He's a liability when he doesn't play for the team
It's a team game at the end of the day
He cost us the game against Fulham by not passing to Lukaku
Really not happy with him at the moment
He's my favourite player.
Someone needs to tell him he's playing real football and not FIFA 99 on easy difficulty
I think people need to remember there's more than one way to play football mate.
You mentioned he should have passed to Lukaku. Lukaku might have missed. The ball could have been intercepted.
If he's scored then you wouldn't be saying he should have passed it.
Nothing wrong with it at all.
Lukaku was wide open mate and would have scored
Even if you want to make the whole "He might have missed" argument, he was still the safest option
Delicioustofu didn't care about that though. He wanted the glory for himself
Can't wait till we ship him back to Catalonia
And I'm not even against him having the odd go now and then
He does it every time though
Balance is required
