I will say this, mind.

Back to work shortly after 11 days off. Us scoring plenty of goals has damn well cheered me up!

we are still 28 points away from safety, lads... lets see where we are in March before we start getting carried away, playing attacking football at home from the off and sh*te like that

That was the best half of actual football I've seen us play in 10 years. Wonderful. Just Wonderful.
Thank you, Roberto lad

Jags was sloppy on the second goal. No hiding from that.

I agree. I love Jags and so do most of our fanbase, so i dont think he gets the criticism he deserves at times. Just off the top of my head he was bullied by the likes of Ben Arfa (coleman saved him with a great tackle) & Remy for the goal yesterday. neither are guys that should be pushing Jags about. I galso et frustrated when we are working to keep posession and jags takes it upon himself to hit a long diagnol ball and it flys out for a newcastle throw. Of anyone one the team he should be playing short tidy passes or clearing it when in trouble.

Im not saying we should bench Jags, but he should feel very fortunate to have Distin next to him to clean up any mess he finds himself in. Distin has proven to be one of the best CB's in the prem.

Surprised on how Yanga-Mbiwa can be so ineffectual against Lukaku.
Don't understand why Ben Afra was taken off; Moussa Sissoko looked out of his depth for the entire time he was on pitch, and Anita wasn't providing anything different.
Cabaye provided a ton of calmness and class in the Newcastle side, and we were second best in that part for most of the second half (even they crippled themselves on another front).

Speechless about this match, anyway. Even Leon was playing very well, and if he keep this up he would have struck a claim for the Three Lions once again.
Mirallas was bright for a few minutes then disappeared after he twisted himself on the corner flag.
Barkley looks like he's matured pretty quickly; he now shows he can make decisions.
Still don't see anything really special for McCarthy, but at least he keeps the game moving along nicely.
Barry now looked an absolute coup.

Isn't that his specialism right there?

That's because he's absolute mince mate & Lukaku is a total beast.

He was running away from him ffs

Add Pienaar in there as well, he is still the best at utilising Baines on the left.

Great at keeping hold of the ball, I just wonder if it goes left to Pieannar the pace of the attack will slow. A Deulofeu that could be trusted to track back and make the right decision to release the ball out there would make us a blistering attacking unit.

Blistering if we are breaking from deep yes, and not too bad when teams have parked the bus. But i'd still plump for Baines, Pienaar, Barkley and McCarthy zipping the ball in and around the box, at least for now.
