Been to around 40 or so derbys and that was one of the flattest. Allardyce and this squad have sucked the life out of Everton. He went for 0-0 against their 2nd string which comprised one full back making virtually his seasons debut and the other a dodgy centre half playing out of position.
What on Earth is that tactic of playing Baines pushed in alongside the centre back and Bolasie becoming a makeshift left-back? Not a lover of Baines but him and Bolasie were hung out to dry today being played out of position. The manager does it regular to player....take DCL for example. And he does it so that there’s always a scapegoat.

Half the playing staff?????

Coleman and Pickford aside, the entire squad wants a bolt to the brain.

So much wrong it's difficult to know where to start this summer.

Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Kenny, Davies, Gueye, Walcott, Sigurdsson, Tosun, DCL, Baningame, Onyekuru, Lookman, Vlasic,

All good enough as either starters, rotation or depth players.

Main problem is we need about four players of the quality of Pickford, Coleman to come in as starters, left back, 1 or two starting cbs, a left winger and a central mid.

Given the current people recruiting, not a likely thing to achieve.

Because we have cbs who can't defend with any space or against movement mate, so the full backs are squeezing next to them which leaves massive gaps out wide.

I don’t think it’s that simple...that’s a player oriented action. This is simply putting square pegs in round holes.

after reflecting on today's performance

i can only summise what alan myers said

if we started like we had finished in the last 15 minutes this would have been an easy win

we were so scared to nullify liverpool, we played super defensive

look how liverpool approached the city game, they went gung ho in the first 45 minutes and got 3 goals

that is how you should approach these big games

DONT BE SCARED

DONT BE SAM ALLARDYCE

DONT BE NEGATIVE

Look, the way I look at it is, we're [Poor language removed], right. But for most of the game we held them at arms length, alright it was their reserves. But if we'd got at them at bit more like we did in the last ten minutes we'd have beat them. Instead of playing 2 out and out wingers as auxiliary full backs and played them as wingers we'd have beat them.

At the end of the day we kept a clean sheet against one of the best RS sides of recent times. Yes, Salah was missing but they're still a top side who've got one foot in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Couldn't even beat Liverpool b team. That's where we are against them. They could literally put out any team and I don't think we'd beat them. It's all psychological, you look at the squad we've got and they're all used to getting pasted by them, our last win was 2010, 8 years without a derby win is a shambles. You look at the rs squad and not one of them has lost a derby. Not one player. Games over before its even started, a drawer is the best we can hope for with this group of players until we get more winners in.

Why did Allardyce take so long to take Bolasie off, one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from one of the worst players ever to wear that blue shirt.

Schneiderlin, when he bottled that 50/50 with Van Dijk should have been taken off too, another cowards performance.

We came to life a bit in the latter stages of the game. But i wonder was that more a case of them running out of gas?But there was no aggression no intensity, from us at the start, and a second string Liverpool side dictated the terms and conidtions.Unfortunately this bunch of players, just can't win derby matches. They've proven that time and time again.

Ings hasn't scored for 2 and a half years, and Solanke is yet to score for them. It was a weak side and we were set out not to concede.
