The main problem as i see it is that our closing down is always reactive and lacks any sense of anticipation whatsoever, which in turn means we rarely win the ball back in good positions with enough players supporting. I find it all so frustrating to watch

That and taking an eternity to start an attack it's all so slow everyone takes 3 touches before deciding what to do with the ball.

The willingness to fight was there throughout, so I guess that is one positiove. But the composure just wasn't. I saw eleven willing fighters but not one leader, and that was reflected in poor, rushed decisions.

I mean compare Dave Watson to Jags.... go on, just do it. Not that I'm blaming Jags, but he's been too nice for a long time now and everyone knows he's off (probably back to Bramall Lane on a free, with us getting a cut price for David Brooks).

And another thing, Davies is not a 'big game' starting player. He's not good enough for these games and if he'd gone off ten minutes earlier, we'd be looking at a different result.

You saw a different game to me then mate. We looked up for it in the first 10 minutes, then we just sat off them for the next 80 minutes.

One of the most boring mate, I started playing hangman with the lad next to me!

I was getting updates from here mate whilst I was in work and it didn't make for great reading. My missus said we missed a couple of sitters late on but tbh it wouldn't have made much difference to my mood as it seemed to be another miserable laboured performance judging by the comments on here

OK to take a point against the team who are 3rd who just beat the leaders 3-0.
It was hardly their full strength team though. I think people are more disappointed with our performance (lack of). Seems like we are lacking desire and composure. At times we looked like we were running through treacle and I don't think I've ever seen so many players pass the ball without looking. Davies, Rooney and Bolasie were the biggest culprits.

And we had a go in the last 10 mins mate, but other than that we gave them way to much time and space all over the pitch.I suppose everything has a silver lining tho and thats 1 game less now for BFS with 5 to go,roll on May 13th and then boot him out of our club:dance::pint2:

You can forgive many things on a football pitch but cowardice is not one of them. For about 80 minutes today we played with fear and that is criminal. We treated that side of reserves with a reverence befitting Real Madrid- it was pathetic. This was most evident on our right flank were Ragnar bloody Klavan, Estonian legend, was not even troubled once in that period. Walcott has to take some of the blame for that, but it all stems from the manager. His entire goal is self preservation- preserving his reputation (a reputation that exists only inside his fat head). He’s just like Hodgson, Pardew etc. He’ll sleep tonight happy knowing he got one over one of the mighty top 6. Klopp on the other hand will have forgotten all about today’s inconvenience and will already be focused on the CL. That’s all we our now, an inconvenience, not a rival. And that won’t change with this odious ogre in charge.

Spot on, we will only go backwards with him in charge. It does my head in that he could be here next season. We are currently a nothing team, with no ethos, no plan just a continuous decline. And I agree we don't even matter to them anymore that's how many light years we are away from them.
