Was thinking the same. Was terrible at times last year, and this particular new poster who is tearing it up in here with negative overreaction should fit right in and set a new standard for the others to match.

I can never understand the hyperbole over pre season games.
I have seen us play wonderful football and dreadful too and they have never been indicators of how the season would pan out.

I think there are lots of positives to take, in what was a good fitness exercise. I would just like a real pacey winger and I am not convinced with Robles, he doesn't command like a keeper should imo.

Besic, McCarthy and Barkley is a mouthwatering prospect in midfield and Coleman and Lukaku are currently missing, we should have a lot to look forward to.

Lids have just come back off their holidays or flying halfway round the world, no surprise that we looked jaded and lacking in spark, people are gonna get destroyed this season, after we slot the 6th against FC Eastern Europe in the Europa League final nobody will remember we played this game.

Friendlies mean absolutely nothing results wise based on the comming season,off course a win in a meanless games were we are trying to get players fit would help,but not essential,we could win every friendly to get peoples hopes up, then go and lose our 1st few prem games and vice verse,the less injuries we get going into the start of the season the better is all i am bothered about,we have not exactly played brilliant in the 3 games in pre season, but means nothing at all even more so when so many players are playing that might not even get a look in,in the league etc.
