Tim Cahill's form is now really starting to concern me. He's gone from being ineffective to downright anonymous. He did nothing at all in the game worthy of any merit, which is concerning for a central midfielder full stop let alone him.

At the end of the day though I think we just have to accept that Benfica are better than us all over the pitch. You can blame injurys/bad tactics/lack of heart etc but they just pissed all over us really. Felt quite humbled sitting in the stadium tonight.

I've sat for sometime trying to compose myself after that debacle............injuries are an excuse up to a point but that side had many first teamers in it but it still didn't flow, players acted like strangers to each other, the entire team lacked rhythm and purpose. It is a waste of time blaming any one player on the park as they are all guilty of the same fault..............................bereft of ideas the bloody lot of them! I'm worried, very worried when I see proven professionals turn in a gutless performance akin to the one we saw tonight.......................the finger must be pointed and it can only be aimed at the manager. I suspect that Moyes rallying cry style is no longer working with the players he has available, Yakubu was glad he came off (so was I), no one overly upset at the end as though they had expected to be played off the park. I said after Lisbon that we'd give them a good run at home..............boy was I wrong big style.......................that team lacks guts, co-ordination and spirit I was ashamed of them tonight, very ashamed:(:(:@:@(n)

Spot on Monts, but the true Everton fans will think you're overreacting.

And for Cahill, as rubbish as he was yet agai, he's still not a centre mid. Nor is he a right winger. If we're gonna play a 451 at home Moyes then PLAY CAHILL BEHIND THE STRIKER where he's actually USEFUL

He did one nice little trick, but he does that too little. If he's got it in his locker than why doesn't he use it?

Tim Cahill only has fight in his locker, Im not making excuses for him, but hes not, never will be and shouldnt be judged on playing CM. He brings nothing at all to that postion.

Hes playing there cos the £15m waste of money we spunked our load on last Summer cant play in CM either.

Thought he was excellent in the first half, but he's no man for a fight - a luxury player. And we didn't shell 15m apparently. It was up to 15m.
