I agree with the first part ...

But this is absolutely insane.
Robertson is an absolute steal at 10m. These are exactly the kind of signings we should be going for. Leicester did it with Vardy, Mahrez and Kante. Players with unknown potential who could be incredible, not players who we know aren't good enough for the top six.

We have spent over 240 million in less than two years and we are no better, in fact we are worse.

Sigurdsson 45m
Schneiderlin 25m
Walcott 20m
Williams 12m
Bolasie 24m

That's 125m on players we know won't take us on beyond seventh.

Michael Keane 25m
Tosun 27m
Sandro 7m
Gueye 7m
Klaasen 23m
Pickford 25m

Of the unproven players only Pickford looks like being a good signing right now (Tosun we have to wait and see). Michael Keane played in a very defensive system at Burnley so his weaknesses weren't shown up like they are now. That 25m for such a flat footed player looks robbery. Klaasen played in a much weaker league so that was always a major gamble.

Another unproven player with potential, Seri, would be an amazing signing but he's now on everyone's radar (Barca, Real linked). We need to get players before that happens as once the top clubs show an interest it's over. Julien Laurens on Seri being linked to us;

"It looks like Everton are leading the race. But when you are so close to Barcelona I don't think it's the greatest feeling to be linked with Everton. But he wants to leave and they might let him go for the right price. I still think he is a very good player and he would be a great addition to this Everton team but he could do better."

We are much lower down the food chain so have to bring players in before other clubs get a whiff of them. The scouting needs to be much better. Steve Walsh isn't doing his job.

Who the hell do you want us to buy? We can't buy Kane or Pogba. We buy who we can afford and who want to play for us. You would never have deemed the Leicester team full of league winners at the start of thier title winning season. Jesus. Some people. No matter what we do, some are never ever happy.

Why has no one liked this - it’s genius!

He’s fast experienced can score goals , will allow Bolassie to move to his favoured left side and Siggy into the middle.
He will improve our starting 11
I’m happy we signed him.
Don’t care how much he cost or How old he is.
Don’t care if he has no resale value.

Bolasie - Sigurdsson - Lookman

Walcott - Tosun

Has the makings of a potentially exciting 'front 5' that.
I like your thinking but Bolassie prefers to play on the left
Lookman would not provide cover for CuCu
Few teams play 2 up front
Signing a really good LB who can defend ( which we won’t do ) would be vital for that formation to work.
I think we have had enough of players playing out of position so I can see

Walcott. Siggy. Bolassie
Tosun

That’s the way I expect FSA to go

That is your opinion, Gueye is a player that would be sold for multiples of his transfer fee and ironically we will make a profit on Sandro if/when he is sold. I believe Keane will prove very good value for money albeit after a slow start. Davy Klaasen will possibly be the one player that we could lose substantial money on.
Bolasie is making his way back after being a year out of football, Walcott has not kicked a ball for us yet and you have already decided on their merits or lack of them. Sigurdsson is doing alright in a struggling team and although you say we have to wait and see about Tosun you include him in the list of players that will never take us past seventh.
Schneiderlin has been disappointing this season after a promising start when he arrived but he does have a substantial sell on value if he is to be sold.

In general, the season so far has been disappointing, but a run of five or six games where we pick up wins and the outlook about club and team changes completely.

My belief is we will finish seventh or eight, possibly three places behind our neighbours who I believe will finish fifth with neither team winning a trophy.
Is our season that much worse than theirs then

I agree Allardyce will go with that front four.

Bolasie a huge weak link though...cant play in front of martina as he cant hold on to the ball let alone defend.

Seeing Walcott and Bolasie on the flanks will be soul destroying...

Sigurdsson and Tosun look exciting though.
