is it so hard to organize a couple of fixtures in Ireland given we have four internationals in our squad,I mean, am I missing something here ??.a chance to tap into a potentially huge fan base on your doorstep, but no ,lets go off to Singapore and play Stoke, that's going to promote us no end isn't it !.
Don't like being critical of the marketing of this club, but decisions that get made, do leave me a wee bit bewildered.

You want your pre-season games to be as difficult as possible to get you into the groove of the season as well as 1-2 "ringers" (lol Paderborn) so Ireland would be a good shout.

Sunday league teams, we may as well play the Welsh league.

The last time I went to Dundee was for a friendly with Dundee United a few years back.

I got all the way there on the train, only for the match to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch! I walked up to the ground and had a look around. Dundee & Dundee Utd's grounds are right next door to each other. I was stuck in Dundee for the night with nothing to do, and then to make matters worse, they rearranged the match for the following night and I had to go home during the day because of the time on my train ticket!

Didn't we play a team in Dublin with our first team just before the start of the 2011/12 season?

And an Everton XI went to Sligo the year before.

And the youngsters almost always play in the Milk Cup up north.
