It's clever by him saying we're skint really mate.

What if he came out and went right we've got X amount of money and then we're looking at this player yes blah blah and then we put say a bid in for someone. If the club knows we've got money, they'll try up the price and get more money of us, whereas us being ''skint'' and moyes putting a bid in for a player who wants to leave they will realise they arent getting any more than this.
It's actually quite clever from Moyes but I'd expect no different, the little genius

The possibility exists that we are actually skint and will be signing nobody.

hes a genius! i bet hes an expert poker player

i doubt chairman take much notice of this, when bids come in for their players i doubt they say -

'now old moysey said he had no moneys in that interview, hes an honest man...i accept his bid of 50p and some cheese'
