Signed Pickford - first choice keeper.
Signed Lookman - Everyone wants him to start
Signed Vlasic - Lots want him on the pitch
Signed Holgate - Already our best CB
Signed DCL - Improved massively already

Who have we signed that has been a flop? And have we signed many older players that have actually done anything?

They've all done ok. But none near their peak except Pickford, all learning, some might not make it. We need players in their peak. Not the extremes of u21s and over 32s.

can he play left back?
No, but neither can Cuco and nothing stops him getting his 90 mins there every week!

Be quite fitting if we signed another right-footed stand-in left back. I think that would symbolize this season’s lack of thinking at boardroom/management level more than anything.

Would actually be quite funny.

It doesn’t sound imminent by the looks of things as there manager as told Kent Live today:

Ezri Konsa is being touted for a big money move to Everton, Arsenal or one of the Premier League giants.

But without a CEO and with the transfer situation as it is, with boss Karl Robinson told there are no signings allowed, it seems that departures too might not be happening as expected.

"The idea with Ezri was always that there would be that sale and we'd get him back on loan," said Robinson.

"He good thing is about this situation [takeover talk, no CEO] there's nobody here for anyone to contact about it.

"It's almost like we've got into bunkers hiding and they can't catch us.

"Some day he will be a top defender in the Premier League. You've seen how good he was again the other night against Oxford.

"Normally we would have someone in constant dialogue with the club he was going to. But we don't have that contact.

"We know he will be there one day."

That won’t put us off we spent 6 months looking for Barkley’s agent.

No. We may as well just become a full on u21 side and become an official man u feeder club. Instead of buying all these prospects who are mostly well below average prem quality players initially and playing them in our first team, let's just buy already above average/good prem quality players.

We've sold like 2 players to United in forever?

Given the rumours of Lookmans homesickness that last point you made could be very valid as clubs have done this in the past.
I now of 3/4 occasions where clubs have signed Irish lads and signed their mate to keep him company
Arsenal done it with Kwame Ampadu and QPR done it with the Farrelly triplets

To spend another 4m to get lookman a mate is a bit worrying as he must be really homesick.. on the flip side tho it must mean we rate lookman very highly within the club
