Everton look to complete deal for Charlton starlet Konsa

The Blues are ‘ready’ to push through a £4 million move for Charlton defender Ezri Konsa according to South London Press.

Everton were reportedly looking at the 20-year-old in the summer but nothing came of it, the Merseyside outfit are looking to spark a deal this January.

The England youth international has made 68 appearances for the Addicks and would become the second Charlton youngster within 12 months to depart for the Toffees after Ademola Lookman’s £11 million transfer last year.

Great to see that Big Sam likes the youngsters.

We were told he had a preference for 39 year old cart horses, but in the Derby we had more players under the age of 23 on the field than at any point since Martinez's first season.
I would hazard a guess and say the FSA knows absolutely nothing about this deal and has had no say on the matter.
This is a Walsh deal all the way.
He will go straight into the U23s and stay there for the rest of the season with Unsworth.
We played so many young players in the Derby because the rest of the first team squad were either injured or are crap

Why sign him and stick him in the U-23's? Either goes into the squad or keep him out on loan.

Playing reserve football with the kids wont be better for his development than where he's currently playing.
