I'd say it goes deeper than that. When we lost the FA Cup final in 68, the RS fans in my mums Street had a street party, and taunted my then 8 and 6 year old uncles as they sat on the step, heartbroken. Grown men taunting children who were upset. Don't let anyone tell you it's a recent thing. It's literally been that way for decades because they have been bitter about us for as long as they have existed, but will never admit to it. The Hughes Incident is just indicative of a pattern of behaviour that stems from their own bitter, twisted, narcissistic jealousy.

The irony is, they actually try to trot out the line "It just means more". They don't even realise the irony. To be sure, they will never be be happy, never be satisfied. Constantly looking over their shoulders and stomping their feet for attention and adulation as everyone else cringes at their behaviour.

Just be glad that you are a blue. We may never have the same level of success as them, but everything we achieve will actually mean more.

I was 11 when we won the league in 85 and I had just got the new Lineker bib kit. My mate was a Kopite and him and his Dad picked us up for footie training one night, and the first thing he said to me when he seen the NEC was ‘you know what that stands for? No European Cup!’. This was a few months after Heysel as we all know.

That’s proper bitterness.

I spoke to my dad, 93.this week.
He with all his years said to me "it seems liverpool supporters are different to us. "

All this makes me really sad.

Yes, same here. I’ve never forgotten it.
I’ll tell who never forgot Emlyn Hughes’s outburst that night, Tommy Smith, it was his his benefit match not long after that and Emlyn took a few thousand Evertonians off the gate, Smith slagged him for years after that at every chance he got. I wouldn’t have gone to the game myself because I couldn’t stand Smith either.

The legend is that Smith loathed Hughes cos Hughes tried to get him, (Smith) to bribe Arsenal players to, er, "take it easy", so if any flak came in, Smith would get the shots.

I personally loathed both of em.

l’d heard they didn’t get on, never new why. Strange, as they were so similar and had so much in common. Anyway, enough of them, back to Everton being average.

Feel sorry for this young lad. The Liverpool misdirection team is in full flow. Accusing a young Everton lad with his Everton shirt of firing the fireworks at the pier head. Clips went viral and the lad has had death threats
Now where have I seen this before where Liverpool fans have caused murder but try to direct the blame elsewhere to deflect from themselves
Real beauts these RS
