Everton Brands Appointment Confirmed

Are they?

Way I see it they're all doing exactly what they were doing before(see my reply to MoutsGoat) just with new titles and no Elstone looking over their shoulders.

Elstone, (CEO), gone. New CEO, in. Day one. Sack manager, DOF, backroom staff, appoint new DOF.

Boss, (Moshiri), is now the majority shareholder, not this wishy washy 49.9% stuff.

Not sure what is "exactly they were doing before" about that.

The Russian fella doing sommet different as well, but I missed that. @orly seems to have the deal on that.

I'm not sure Walsh found Kante and Mahrez but took credit for them. Leicester have been without him for two years and have still been dipping into the same market. They've signed Diabate who they all love from Ligue 2 and Ndidi from the Belgian League. They're still running like clockwork without Walsh.

They haven't played second fiddle to Ajax. They've won three out of the last four league titles.

I was only talking about the 4 board members.

They were all 4 of them board members before this week, and all 4 of them were basically doing the exact same thing.

Harris was working on the stadium.

Sasha was working on commercial deals and financing.

DBB was already and Executive at the club.

There is no "fresh eyes" on the board there from where I sit.

I also think (and hope) Brands will come onto the board which should have an impact. Likewise Moshiri being now outright majority shareholder (or de facto owner) will likely undermine Bills influence further.

it kind of appears that Moshiri has undermined Bill by buying woods shares.

in doing this he has nullified Bills position at the club

it almost looks like bill has back tracked and not wanted to sell his part of the shares, as I thought the option was for Moshiri to buy both Kenwrights AND Woods shares at some point in time.

the fact Woods has sold up but not Bill points to a divide in the board room, which has not ended well for Bill

it was about time, he was nullified IMO. he has offered nothing but mediocrity since he has owned us.

thanks for the effort , but time to move on

no fresh eyes, but perhaps a fresh approach and different way of doing things.

as I saw it Bill and Bob were in cahoots, and bob just did as he was told.

the end of that little shindig is the best thing to come from this reshuffle

When I said fresh eyes, I didnt mean actual eyes, fresh ideas, fresh ways to move forward, Elstones position at the club was very precise, he was the day to day gaffer, he made most of the mundane decisions and some of the bigger 1s.

Now hes been removed, it should allow different people with a different way of doing things to take a fresh look at things and maybe do things differently.

Or maybe things will stay the same? I mean I know people had a pop at SunTan, but he kept the club ticking over for years and years despite us being up crap creek, so maybe the old way isnt so bad?

Tomato Tomato.

Last week. "Who is the boss, Bill or Farhad?"

Today. "Farhad"

Ok, the actual eyes havnt changed, fine. But believe you me. The focus, and any doubt about who is calling the shots well and truly has.

Will it lead us a to a sunny Blue meadow? No idea. But clubs need an utterly straight line of control and accountability, something we have lacked for 18 months or so.

Not now.

I'm not exactly convinced that DBB will be any different in that regard.

I don't think Bill will have much say now.

it will be all coming from Moshiri, now that he is owner with more than 49.9%
While he still has his seat on that board he will.

He goes back years with Harris and DBB remember. Sasha is Mosh's man through and through but the other two are not.

The big decisions will all be Moshiri's but he will still be sticking his nose in I do not doubt it.

Of course not. There isnt a CEO on the planet who isnt doing the bidding of either the sole owner, or the major shareholders.

There are numerous examples of CEOs of FTSE companies being removed because a pension fund with a 5-8% shareholding have raised concerns.
