I know it is only mid June, but that Leicester game already has the look of a "must win" as an insurance policy against the first two home games.

Tough start that, but if we get some good results there we will be off to a flyer, I'm glad the goodison derby is second for once, and last game of the season at home.

Happy with the list, especially the Anfield derby being first for once :) February looks like the toughest month to me. Also, although i'm sure Leicester away will be a great game, I would've wanted to avoid playing a newly promoted team first - they'll be well up for that!

Some quite negative comments there.

I know we have a recent history of starting poorly, but these days pre-season doesn't consist of pelting it up a mountain in Austria listening to "hearts on fire" and then beating some gash ninth-tier farmers 17-0.

If this was the 7-game start under Moyes I would arrange pre-emptive counselling and AA meetings... maybe even going as far as producing a mock "Everton in the Championship" kit, as I did after we lost 3-2 to Hull in 2009 and looked ripe for the drop.

BUT this is Roberto's boys we're talking about - we just need a top class striker, a backup RB (if Browning isn't ready) and another versatile midfielder then we'll be sound!

Hardest start in the league, a kick up the arse to get most of our transfer business done pronto, we can't do what we always do and wait 5 minutes before the transfer deadline to do our business, by then we might have lost 2 or 3 games. We will need pretty much our best side from day 1 if we're to have a chance next season, bearing in mind also there could be a World Cup hangover for a few players. COYB

I think this is what most are (a little bit) concerned about though.

If we're making do with Kone up top because we're leaving transfers late and he starts as badly as he does last time, we might just have a poor start. Nothing to get overly worried about like.

I think it will be a really tough game too. Expectation levels will be high from the Leicester fans after winning the Championship last year and we crapped out against the promoted teams early on last season.

One game at a time etc.
