Everton 2014-15 Premier League Fixtures

Feb. looks a bit tough, particularly if we're still in the UEFA and a cup, but other than that I'm pretty happy with the way that's spread, good to have the game at the tip first for once. Get some good transfer business done early (I know.. I know), beat Leicester and take 4 points off Arse and Chelski and we'll be off to a flyer.

I think this is what most are (a little bit) concerned about though.

If we're making do with Kone up top because we're leaving transfers late and he starts as badly as he does last time, we might just have a poor start. Nothing to get overly worried about like.

Spot on - after all, remember when Beattie was our number one striker? We did OK-ish back then (although propping up the table in November 2005 and crashing out of two european cups before school started was a chastening experience before the surge)

Plus, isn't Mirallas an emergency striker or am I being daft as usual?

Excellent point.

A lot of the top teams will drop unlikely points in the opening weeks of the season so even if we lose a couple we shouldn't be too far off the pace.

And then with a good run of. "favourable" fixtures we get some momentum going.

I'll be down the Algarve for the first derby and win, lose or draw it will be unbearable watching it in a pub full of plastic and real Kopites.

The real ones generally are foreign. Heard an inspiring tale in work today about someone's '17 year' waiting list being over when, like a gift from god/letter from Hogwarts 'it' arrived in the mail. 2 STs, lower centenary.
Tears we shed. Shakes were felt. Hugs were given. It was beautiful, apparently.

WE GO AGAIN

worst possible time to play Leicester away, their fans will be well up for it. Also the worst time to play Arsenal as they always race out of the blocks. Having both those games in the second half of the season would have suited us much better

Arsenal race out the blocks? They always start sluggish

Can you do a fixture chart for when its best to play teams, I'm interested in seeing it.

Europa - KO Stages (hopefully)

Last 32 19/2 then Leicester H & 26/2 then Arsenal A
Last 16 12/3 then Newcastle H & 19/3 then QPR A
Last 8 16/4 then Burnley H & 23/4 then Man U H
Last 4 7/5 then Sunderland 7 14/5 then West Ham A

Ferguson always moaned about away games after Europe but it's got to be better to be away where the knock on effect will be far less than say losing a home game (much less expected or wanted).
We're away in 4 of the 6 games after the EL Group stages plus of course we're only away on 3 of those 6 EL games which would be worse for preparation and recovery than after a home game - away games are normally tougher fixtures so if there is to be a knock on effect far better to suffer when the expectation of success is lower (therefore the points lost are less critical than those you lose at home where you don't expect to fail).

dont think theres ever an easy time to play the newly promoted clubs in their first season tbh, every game is like a cup final for them.

Got to laugh at aston villas fixtures again though...

after playing Stoke (A) NUFC (H) and Hull (H) they have...
L'pool (a) 13th Sept
Arsenal (h) 20th Sept
Chelsea (a) 27th Sept
Man City (h) 4th Oct
Everton (a) 18th Oct

lol

Maybe, maybe not

Leicester could just as easily be nervous, and they've not played many teams as good as us so could just as easily balls it up.

And arsenal are quite capable of early season mess ups too.
