Clean sheet is an absolute must, but not at the expanse of attacking. Complete focus from all players and that has to be doable. Sick of conceding totally avoidable goals when we are supposedly resolute at the back. Acres of space on breakaways, unmarked giants from corners, runners not tracked by midfielders, brainless half-clearances straight into their midfield which wouldn’t have achieved anything even we had got the ball, midfield collapsing into the back four on crosses so when we head it out, they have 6 players lined up to lock it up 20 yards out. None of that tonight please.

Clean sheet and we win. There is no point them playing for a draw. Goal for either Rohl or Dibling would also help banish the weekends performance from memory. Massive game for Moyes this, and for a couple of the players who we are still waiting to contribute anything of note.

Wolves and Brentford are miles apart in capacity, the only reason we lose tonight is if we implode. I think we can at least score 1 goal, we are a a better side than wolves, we are not a better side than Brentford.

I think the best we can push for is for the fans to create an Everton “Cacophony of hate” (TM) tonight in the stadium and direct it firmly at Wolves.

I’m particularly keen for the phrase to be the new “Peoples Club” and rename the stadium “The Hill Dickinson Cacophony of Hate arena”.
