Their goal was nothing to do with it, point I was making is that utd were clearly not at the races tonight and moyes did nothing to take advantage, when has moyes Ever made a positive tactical change when the game is level, the answer is never, he hasn't got the nuance to sense that the game is there for the taking and change it up, we never looked like scoring tonight, it was clear the attacking plan was to not commit players forward, no support from midfield, no plan full stop, all we did was encourage a poor utd team to ride it out and do us on the counter which is exactly what happened, shocking management
Yep, he is still approaching big 6 games with the 'knife to a gunfight' mentaility, even after all these years. He would have been chuffed to bits at 0-0 - why, in his mind, would he change it.

He is a coward.

Disagree massively with this. A striker with better movement will allow our players to create more chances. Barry seems to be on his heels more often than not.

In terms of last night, yes Utd are not the force they were 15 years ago, but I would not call them mediocre at all. They are also on a confidence boost, similar to us last year. With a manager that brings in a whole new attitude and is a bit of a breath of fresh air to the players and fans alike.

It was a game that could have gone either way. There was not a big difference between the 2 teams.
As posted during the game just watch what he does time after time at corners. Backing into the defender with gusto then standing still every time the ball came across.

Every flipping time. All 6' 5 of him standing still and never challenging for the actual ball.

Tarks on their goal has really done me.

He’s 5 yards ahead of sesko when the break starts, I don’t care how fast he is or isn’t, if you know you are getting done for pace, stick one on sesko and take the foul near the half way line ffs.

He plays at being the hard man when it doesn’t really matter.

Brainless with no snide, same as all our players.

I've been saying for well over 12 months that Tarkowski isn't good enough. He's a championship level defender at best and is a massive liability. Throwing yourself about is all well and good but we need more than that and he hasn't got it. His temperament is awful, footwork terrible and positionally hes playing a different game to everyone else.

You nailed it in that one sentence.

Stubbs on the radio was saying "slow him down, slow him down", granted to Keane, but a tactical shove was available for a yellow.

We don't seem to have that nous, we play to nice, and accepting of every bad beat.

I can take games like this. I usually write off the games against the Sky 6 at the start of the season, by hook or by crook they generally get something against us. The decisions against these teams over the years has been awful. Ashley Young no penalty against United in injury time, Richy no pen against Spurs cos Lloris got a finger nail to it, the list is endless.

However, these games need to be offset with wins against lesser teams. The most frustrating thing about last night is that we were the better team, against a poor United and they have stolen 3 points. The problem is we should have picked up 3 points a week ago against Bournemouth and the United defeat wouldn’t have mattered much. Yet again, we blew it. Same as against West Ham, went a goal up, same as Wolves, went a goal up, even against Villa at home, a team there for the taking and they got a point.

Our problem is scoring goals. It has been all season and it has been for years. I’ve given up feeling sorry for Barry, it’s time he’s dropped for Beto and come the summer both of them need to leave the club, they simply aren’t good enough. I can’t believe we didn’t go for Wilson in January.

George came on and did more than any winger has done in about 4 games, he defo needs to start against Newcastle. It’s just really disheartening as the games we have gone a goal up, we need another and we can never find it. We just allow the opposition to come back into the game everytime.

United didn’t deserve it last night but again we didn’t look like scoring. Barry cannot lead a line. Winning headers isn’t enough.
