As it's possible for half the PL teams to reach Europe, and the fact our squad would struggle to play Thurs/Sun, I've not been massively interested in where we finish. However, looking at our remaining 3 games, I reckon we will finish 8th.
I know to the vast majority of you, this doesn't mean anything at all but thought I'd write something as I'm having my morning coffee .

You know, there's a thing called a transfer window in the summer where you can improve your squad.

I am sure some of our fans love us just existing!

Big point last night, even though we should have took all three.

Sadly, We have to win all our remaining games and hope for favours from elsewhere, which is frustrating as it was firmly in our hands a couple of games ago.

Not sure the manager and players have it in them.

I do think that Villa will win the Europa League and finish fifth, in which case around 56/57 points will be enough for Champions League. This is a very possible scenario.

I doubt that opportunity will present itself again. If we don't grab it, especially after we got to 47 points from 32 games, it will sting a bit - even if we do qualify for the Euro-Farmers-League.

Forgetting that we were 3 1 up for a minute, that point was a bonus and gives us a chance to stay in the race.

We need a minimum of 7 to have a chance.

Not impossible, but the decision making from the manager will have to be blemish-free in terms of choice of players, how we set up, substitutions etc.

8th should get us Europe and would definitely trigger a bit more activity in the summer window

Taking nine points from the last three would be the response of a side that wants Europe and merits it. If we get more than four, I'll be amazed.

One of my housemates when I was at uni gave himself 10,000-1 odds of making sweet, sweet love to Natalie Imbruglia. His argument was that she lived in the UK and if he were to see her out and about he would definitely try and woo her (I have adjusted my language for the swear filter). Whilst I think his odds were longer than 10,000-1, I agreed with him that there was an incredibly small chance that it may happen (nearly thirty years on, I can report that nobody has had to pay out any winnings).

Moral of the story? Yes, it is still possible, if unlikely.

I was hopefully a few games back but I can only see us getting a max of 4 points now. 3 or 1 vs Sunderland and a maybe a point at Palace. I don't think we will beat Tottenham away.
