To be fair mate Villa made a few changes and were absolutely woeful, so I wouldn’t put to much emphasis on it pointing to Spurs picking up form.

I hope Bournemouth or Brentford get Champions League. It needs to be rubbed in for some people just what their risk-aversion has helped us miss out on.

Reckon 7 out of 9 points might sneak us into 8th. Actually think winning the last 3 is doable though, not a bad run in. Especially if Tottenham are already safe by the last game which I think they will be

Yeah but we kept our powder dry til the summer so we can challenge for 9th next season.

• New ownership laying down a few quid to make some difference
• PL in turmoil with Chelsea stinking the gaff out and Spurs near relegated
• half the league tied up with European football and two games per week

= golden chance to achieve something.

The grim reality is though that Moyes ruined our chances by refusing to make use of players brought in to deepen the quality of the squad, and his fabled "strong finishes to the season" evaporated in 5 of the last 6 matches taking 5 points from 18.

If any owner is retaining and handing cash to him they'll underline how unfit they are to be involved with this club.

You want us to not get CL so that you can say I told you so, when we've never had CL proper, and you have no evidence to show that we would get it if we took more risks?
