It is relevant if they also finish fifth cos that means sixth place gets CLVilla winning EL isn’t really relevant
Three points off conference league with two very very win-able games ahead
If we can’t beat Palace and Sunderland with nothing to play for then we don’t deserve to be in any European discussion
If we do beat them, I think we’ll get Europe with a big performance on the final day

If they come 5th and win, 6th place becomes CL
Its unlikely but still a possibility, so not irrelevant. We need to win all three though. He said:
“For a chance of Europe we need to stay with the casing pack and hope Villa in their competition.“
That isn’t true, Villa winning EL won’t make us any likelier to qualify for Europe. The one that gives us a chance is if City win the cup.
And any CL talk is pie in the sky, I don’t see us catching Bournemouth and very unlikely catching BHA.

City winning the cup means 8th will be Europe. Chelsea will only get Europe if they win the cup or qualify via the league - they can’t get Europe by losing the cup final. Its unlikely but still a possibility, so not irrelevant. We need to win all three though.
City winning the cup gives Europa to the runner up do will only benefit us if chelsea finish in a europa spot. Would prefer we did that ourselves.
Have a look at Bournemouths fixtures, and BHA, we can catch them both if we do win all three gamesAnd any CL talk is pie in the sky, I don’t see us catching Bournemouth and very unlikely catching BHA.
Villa winning EL has no bearing on what position qualifies for the Conference League.Am talking more about the Conference League.
Oh okCity winning the cup means 8th will be Europe. Chelsea will only get Europe if they win the cup or qualify via the league - they can’t get Europe by losing the cup final.
We should never be ruled out. but way we have lost points the last 6odd weeks, we should have been looking down on teams behind us, not up needing to win and hoping teams above loseBefore tonight a point would have been a decent result.
It’s the manner (again) of dropping points. The team must go to Palace now and win.
There’s plenty of football left, I wouldn’t rule us out, although it’s likely we will run out of games.
Soooo....you're saying there is a chance then?Villa winning EL has no bearing on what position qualifies for the Conference League.
I don't think there is anything in this squad that suggests to me we should be making the Champions League. Yeah, some teams like Liverpool have struggled but their squad is just so much better than ours in probably every single position.I think champions league was clearly there this season for us.
In a strange way I just want the conference though…beat up some Albanian plumbers and win a cup.
I could see us finishing 9th. But any higher feels a push.
I agree we probably shouldn’t be there. But seeing Bournemouth and Brentford be in the running - and considering where we were after Chelsea win…it was there for us.I don't think there is anything in this squad that suggests to me we should be making the Champions League.
