Europe Thread 25/26

Still think this will be very difficult based on the goal difference, the home/away split, and the fact that Liverpool’s home form is still good even when they’re absolutely terrible they don’t lose many at Anfield.

We’d probably be looking for them to completely de-rail rather than anything we do. We’d probably need them to hit relegations type form e.g a point per game for 7 games, and then we’d need to be in CL form e.g 2ppg to make it.
We'd absolutely have to win the derby to have a chance I think, if they manage to stay in the CL that may also help us.

They still have to go to United and Villa.

Chelsea seem to be in crisis mode and there's a lot of toxicity around the ownership there. Their fixtures look tricky as well..

apparently they have been taken the necessary steps to show we are two separate companies and TFG are confident we would meet the requirements. they will have learned a lot from what happened at Palace last year.
I dont understand why it's an issue at all.. Is it for fear of owners instructing a team to throw a game against the other team?

That last Champions League spot is wide open for us to go and grab.

Liverpool and Chelsea are all over the place, momentum behind us and a lot winnable fixtures coming up

Massive opportunity for us IMO, we would overachieve but the chance is there.
I think we could end up 4th with 65 points as a very best case scenario

5th on 61 is doable based on how I predict Liverpool, Chelsea and Brentford results could go

For champions League we would have to go on an insane run, 15 points from the last 7 games.

[Poor language removed] 3
West Ham 3
Sunderland 3
Spurs 3

These we should be expecting to win.

It leaves city H, Brentford and palace away

Can't see us beating city, their tails will be up and they will be chasing down arsenal

So win either of palace or Brentford away

Liverpool is winnable if we played like we did on Saturday, the PSG tie will take a lot out of them physically you imagine.

I agree with City at home

I’m absolutely high on one of the best everton wins in recent memory but I’m saying we win all 3 remaining home games and pick up points at brentford and spurs. palace will be one of those random 2-0 defeats you get just to make things harder because football/everton. west ham who knows

i don’t know if this get us europa or conference but we win it the following year

assuming trump hasnt caused nuclear
annihilation

The one I’m most bothered by is Sunderland at home as they can sit back and counter. The RS won’t don’t that, neither will city. I think that is the set up we’ve seemed to struggle against the most this season.

7 games remaining and we're talking champions league. What a time this is.
The thought of possibly hosting Real Madrid next season is mental. I'd be equally as happy play Shamrock Rovers though.
Beat Brentford and Liverpool and we're massively in the conversation for Champion's League.

I’d take any form of Europe. We’ve had a good run but this team has showed loads of times this season it will shoot itself in the foot when given an opportunity. The teams behind will be gunning for a spot as well. We’ll need a few big results, beating Liverpool would be massive not just for the 6 point swing but for the confidence of the team to attack the run in.
