I'd think Conference League would suit where the squad is and how much we could potentially have to spend going forward. Europa might be a bit much with how little of the squad we use at the moment and how much we'd need to strengthen to both be competitive in it while not struggling in the league as we've seen more than a few teams suffer with, Newcastle in particular.

Not only would Conference League not stretch the squad as much, but it would present a plausible entry into the Europa league through winning it.

As bad as Palace have been, they still have a good shot at winning it.

What’s strange is if you told me that this season we would be getting to March and were looking out for Sunderland, Brentford and Bournemouth’s results, and not concerned for what spurs, West Ham, palace and forest were up to, I’d have been worried we would back in another relegation scrap

The squad as it exists now isn't deep or strong enough for a European campaign. All depends on the summer window.

They should either bin the League Cup or prevent teams already in Europe from playing in it. Give another team a shot at Europe. Tired of seeing the same four or five teams in the final.

Roma are currently 4th in Italy, a champions league place, but if they fell to fifth that would be Europa, which I think would be a problem in the unlikely event that we qualify.

Some decent results tonight. Brighton and Fulham losing. Barcodes only drawing. Even Villa losing although they're probably too far ahead to overhaul.

Embarrassed that i don't know this but now that 5 teams qualify for Champs League is 7th automatic qualification for Europa provided some team outside the top 7 doesn't win the EFL/FA Cup ?

Conference League is our best chance of a trophy. No City or Arsenal to worry about. We'd straightaway be one of the favourites. Some great away trips for the fans. Chance to play some of the youth and reserves. Gives a boost to our coefficient. Extra matches means more revenue at Bramley Moore. Very little downside.

It has to be done before March 1st...so if it hasnt been done, roma will get priority i guess as clearly TFG favours them over us. Maybe the lack of signing was intentional in January so that we do not stand a good fighting chance for europe. Still a very long shot to be honest as we have many difficult fixtures still to play

If we get euro place or not. One thing at the minute it looks like is we will be in a good end position. But some tough games coming up, but they are the games we usually do best in
