They can't answer it, as there's no answer to give.

Again, I can only express surprise that those who voted to leave can't put their hands up and admit there was no economic plan of action in the event of doing so. It really is a case of "it is what it is" - they voted for 'sovereignty', whatever that means, over economic sense. So be it.

What answer can anyone give you that you will even contemplate, never mind accept.....your mind is fixed.....

So, if the economy was not the reason for the Brexit vote, and nor was sovereignty (given that sovereignty is defined by our international obligations whether in the EU or not) what could possibly have been the motivation for voting for Brexit?

Just having a bit of a laugh really.....

Don't mean to flog a dead horse, but we had an advisory referendum which the government is free to act on as it chooses.

I would suggest that we trigger the article, negotiate the best deal possible with a view to leaving, and then call a referendum. If the verdict is the same, leave the next day.

Fairly straight forward eh?

I see John Major has basically repeated the thoughts of Blair too. I doubt that'll get the same reaction though.

Did I say that we had to make a announcement on a second referendum BEFORE we'd reached the end of the negotiations?

There's absolutely no reason that the Govt couldn't take their final position and then give the country the choice as to whether to accept it or not.

Hahahahahahahaha.........did you really think about this before typing it.

Right lads here's the plan, to keep everyone happy we're going to have a second vote, but here's the cunning bit, don't tell the Germans.........

So if we decided to stay in with Italys banks about to go bust would the economics of our country forecast be any better these figures are over the ten years we have been EU members to blame a bad forecast on Brexit is just to try and reverse the democratic vote of the people - Blair wanted us in the Euro - his credentials will suit the out campaign of OUT the clucl hing of straws is getting desperate we may be even worse if if we stay in as the EU may crumble Italy is the next country to go bust another Greece on a bigger stage !

Of course he will, he's being completely disrespectful to the current Prime Minister by suggesting that she would operate to a lower standard of democracy than he would have done. The starting pistol hasn't even been fired yet......

He clearly said he didn't say have a referendum before the end of the negotiations.

I suggest you read it again.

Hahahahahaha.....this is getting better....No one suggested otherwise. I suggest you read my post again. What he suggested is that after the negotiations, when we know the deal, we have another vote, BUT we won't tell anyone beforehand that we will have another vote, somehow we'll be able to keep that in our heads, away from the baying mob and secret from the Germans.........
