So all that stuff the remain said would happen was in fact a lie as it wasn't a vote on leaving in the first place.

You can't be that stupid, you just can't.

It was a vote on leaving - an advisory one that is taken into account when the law to do so is put through parliament. It's strong advice too; in reality, parliament will not veto it, but the point is they can if they wanted to, because the referendum isn't binary, meaning it isn't instantly placed into law upon completion.

My ballot asked wether Britain should remain a member of the European Union. Nothing about a parlimentory vote.

Because it didn't need to be mentioned, it was common sense!

Look at it this way - if Scotland voted for independence, did you really think the moment the vote was past that they'd be an independent nation?
Do you think the entire British parliment would have had a vote on ratifying the result?

It is implied.

Look - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_devolution_referendum,_1997

Referendum result of yes - then passed through parliament by act.

This really isn't news; your confusion simply highlights that you have zero clue about how it works. I know I have this reputation of being an elitist tit on here and this may come across as "usual Tubey", but I can only put it that way; your confusion here is a net result of you having no clue whatsoever about what it is and how our system works.

Well why not bring it up earlier?

It means nobody on here knew about it until after the fact otherwise all those wise remainers could have told us uneducated racists what we were voting for.

No it means you didn't know about it until very recently. To a lot of people it didn't even need mentioning because lots knew the score. Including the leave voters I know.
