Life's a gamble what ever way you look at it!
Cameron gambled with the countries economic future when he decided to use the referendum offer to appease the right wing within his own party and dilute the UKIP vote at the last election.

Unfortunately both for his career and the rest of us, he put the lot on black and it dropped into green zero

Different parts of the EU are accountable to different bodies depending upon whether directly elected, or nominated. So for example the European Council is made of the 28 Heads of member states accountable to their own Parliaments, the European Parliament is made of 751 directly elected politicians accountable to their constituents, and the European Commission is made of 28 Commissioners nominated by the European Council and endorsed by the European Parliament for 5 year terms - the Commission is accountable to the European Parliament.
Which parliament as they use two costing 100 million just to maintain - the auditing of their accounts seldom get signed off also they admit to monies being lost from fraudlol
At the end of the day we are 8.5 billion net out of pocket each year, and if we thrive that goes up?
Even a soft Brexit with us outside of this debacle of an organisation will would be better off in the WTO IMO!

Thank you mate, the whole point I was alluding to was that those bodies you mention are self serving thank you very much clods. Do any of them go near the citizens and explain where all the money is going, I do not think so. So back to the point originally raised what is accountabilty because those people I referred to seem to have little or no idea what the word means or quietly ignore it. It demonstrates to me that there is probably huge waste in the EU and corruption. I am not saying the UK is any better but that does not alter my view on the subject of the EU.

I quoted somebody else Pete, that's usually a clue as to who each person is speaking to.

In your previous posts on the subject you talked about how the deal will be a "dogs dinner" now that Wallonia is agreeing with you and using their Veto accordingly you think it's a bad thing.

You also said "if you don't like TTIP then tough, if you want a vote against it then vote to leave the EU" this has also been disproven.

Thanks once again for the hint though.

Sorry mate, I'm struggling to understand.....when I said "if you don't like TTIP then tough, if you want a vote against it then vote to leave the EU" because at the time the EU wanted to do the TTIP, in fact they still do but the USA can't be bothered anymore and I think both Presidential candidates have said they will just cancel it, because it's not worth doing without the UK.......
